Non existent customer service, especially from very unprofessional alteration lady.Will never go back again, felt like a nuisance, not a customer! She did not alter my top, when I came to pick it up, she wanted to see it on me again, try it on without any alteration done, again, Then she told me how busy she is, and that I'm difficult customer! Will never go back.Stay away from this not so "Quality" Drycleaning and especially ALTERATION services!

After making some telephonic enquiries to have my recently purchased curtains hemmed, I chose Quality Drycleaners at Karrinyup Shopping Centre. Spoke to a young lady on the phone and queried their quality of service, pricing etc was happy with what I heard. On the 8th November 2014 I handed in four curtains for hemming and one jumpsuit for hemming. I was told by a young lady that I could collect my items at 17:00 on the agreed upon Thursday, I queried the strange time of day, especially as I had to be somewhere that evening, but agreed to fetch the curtains if I could at this strange hour. Thursday 13th November 2014 I headed to Quality Drycleaners at 16:55 to wait for my items. At the set time no dry cleaned or altered clothes arrived, customers came to collect them items but were turned away, an older staff member called the Marmion, Duncraig branch where the items are 'transformed' and queried where the items were. At 17:20 a man arrived with a clothing rail of clothes, there was no apology for being late. I noticed my curtains were missing and asked the older lady where they were, I mentioned that I had already been waiting, had to be somewhere and was not happy about missing curtains (no apology was made by this man). Another call was made to Marmion to ask if the curtains were there, it was then that this man (who turned out to be the owner of Quality Dryclearners) came up to me and started to shout at me, in front of an incredibly busy Karrinyup shop entrance about not needing to apologise to me about his service or his being late, or my missing curtains, he degraded me as a woman (had never met this man in my life before or spoken a word to him), eventually after having him shootout me for a few minutes, I advised him that I was not his mother, wife, daughter or sister and he had no right to shout at me when I was a customer who had paid for my items that were missing. He then started on a new rant, becoming very personal about me, to escape his loud ranting I returned his personal insults and he got even nastier. Not once did he provide any customer service, offer a solution, apologise, or anything that would make him an actual business owner, he just went on and on. Eventually he went to fetch my curtains, after a total 50 minutes I had my curtains. I arrived home to find my one curtain wet, with three stains on it (they were perfect when they went in) and the hems were far from even or straight. I contacted the store and spoke to the young lady who advised me that there was nothing she could do and I (the customer who had paid) would need to ask if the Marmion store would be willing to fix the problem. Again there was no customer service and how do you tell a man who feels that it is perfectly normal to shout at customers (who are in the right in this case) that the job was imperfect and your curtains were damaged by them. I was advised to contact Ritz Drycleaners which the gentleman who heads the WA Drycleaners Association runs, he was particularly pleasant and asked me to put everything in writing, which I did and I attached 13 photos. The matter was handed to the Vice-President to look into on the 17 November 2014 and surprise, surprise no-one ever got back to me. A call to the WA Customer Complains line provided interesting as I was told that they do not have the power to make Quality Drycleaners reimburse my payment or fix my hems, they could ask but have no real authority. So Customer Service does not exist in Western Australia. If an individual business owner choses to do the right thing you are fortunate, however as a customer you can be shouted at, have your items ruined and have the work done incorrectly all the expense of your own time and money and still have no leg to stand on.
