I have read the other reviews and the owner's comments. My experience was quite different. I turned up without an appointment and they slipped me in a gap. Reception friendly, ultrasound operator friendly and explained everything pretty well. Also I had a student in the room with my consent so that I had the benefit of a more detailed explanation to the student. No complaints. I went there because my GP used their form. I'd go again. Yes it would not be easy to find unassisted but there were three volunteers at the entrance to the hospital and one took me to the front door of the practice.
I was fortunate to receive the highest level of professional care from a Somographer named Wes who performed a ultrasound on my injured shoulder. Wes will be receiving a bottle of good wine as a sincere token of my gratitude. As a professional harpist, this injury represents a near-emergency situation for my career and livelihood. Wes’ thoroughness and the unhurried, comprehensive way in which he performed the ultrasound led to the discovery of a probable tear in a tendon in addition to bursitis, which could well provide the missing jigsaw piece in my following treatment which could just save my career and all that depends on it. Thank you Wes. The receptionists were also great. Many, many thanks!
Staff who took my appointment booking and at location was very friendly and helpful, but it was very hard to find the clinic as there is one large sign on Vulture St with no direction to the clinic and no direction at all from the bus station, that I nearly went to Qld X-rays to book a appointment and next time I well even with Qscan referral form from my doctor and the app is bad as well click on active button asked for a activation code without telling you how to get one. And forgot getting help from the head office as I gave the same feedback years ago and nothing has changed especially the directions to the Mater Private Clinic. PS Google forces you to put in one star and not zero?
I wouldn’t recommend this clinic. Got there early but appointment was late and I had to keep a full bladder so that was very hard. Staff were also really loud, I could hear them talk about their personal life and it’s not a quiet environment there. The waiting area is quite small. I saw a poor lady who came up to the desk and was flustered asking for directions but the receptionist told her to wait as she was busy. The lady ended up leaving after no one helped her. The radiographer however was very professional, friendly and helpful. Everything got done smoothly. Unfortunately not all the results were sent to my GP so there was a delay to receive my results. Their app is a bit strange too where it’s not uploaded properly or you the same report is there twice.
We had ultrasound booked. Front staff were loud talking about their own stuff, laughing. I finished my water bottle that I brought. No water in filter in waiting room, kindly asked for water..she brought water in jug and poured into the dirty filter. Had ultrasound and went home. The result were not send to my GP even after a week. On my appointment GP had to ring them for result. Very unprofessional. As far I understand diagnostic procedure is important for early detection and treatment. We go there because we got problem..It may be random normal day for you but it's the critical day for us..
I had an ultrasound scan on Monday last week, in Qscan Mater Private Clinic, in the morning. I did aware that there is a $125 gap fee to pay. I was actually very OK with that fee, because I see previous 5 star review in Google Review, I thought good price for good quality. But the report is not sent to my GP even today Wednesday this week, so it's been 10 days including weekend. Till now, I did not see my report in paper or in electronic, or in GP's. I don't even know whether they do anything or not I assume they do?!?!. Ironically, there's no proof that I've been there as a patient, apart from an invoice. This is really bad. So rated as 2 star 3 star for neutral
We pay for every minute of consultation with the doctor and to my disappointment the link they shared with doctor didnt even work during my consultation. How do I know beforehand? what is my fault? I still pay doctor for the consultation based on their findings. I need to see the image of what happened to my foot. this is so unfair
Terrible experience we had today. Not recommend it at all. Not professional receptionist. They didn’t care about patient.
