Very busy book store with reasonable pricing and helpful staff. If they could reconfigure the cash register waiting area it would help the huge bottle neck at busy times. No social distancing - but this isn't the stores fault.
A great little bookstore for lesser known books and at great prices. Call ahead to ensure they have the book you are looking for though.
As we entered the store we searched for a book but couldn't find what we were looking for, we were greeted by a young lady named Nola, who was very informative & knowledgeable about books, she was able to find us what we were looking very polite & friendly Thank you QBD books Fountain Gate for employing caring staff that look after their customers
I came in a few weeks ago looking for Richard Powers' "The Overstory." I just wanted to say a massive thank you to the lady who helped me. She spent quite a bit of time looking for it as it was the only one left, then grabbed my details and called me when she found it the next day. This did happen a while ago, but it stuck in my mind so I just thought this worker would like to know :

Nice limited collections, but didn’t get kids books we were after.
Nice books! Wide range of manga on one aisle, which makes it a cool place to wait in your anime costume for the love of your life to show up please don’t actually. The display at the front narrows the entrances, almost as if they want to limit the people coming into the store.
The prices of some of the new releases were much higher than the same titles in Target, Kmart and Big W. You're much better off checking prices at these other stores before heading to QBD at fountain gate. In this day and age, it's not difficult for the store to price check its books against nearby competitors and at least price match, if not, beat their competitors prices. I'll still shop there, but I will be using 'google shopping' on my phone to check prices while I'm in the store.
Love going here for books. They have such a great range and staff are very helpful. While pricing is a little high, they follow the same trend as other bookstores, so can't complain too much. Go in during sales to get great prices. Shipping is also cheap for books.
Decent range across all genres, and prices are ok. All to be expected from a chain bookstore of this size. I called up to enquire about something and they were able to put it aside for me for a few hours so I could make it down to the shop during lunch. Great selection of on-sale books at the front of the store which make for great gifts.
