Nice venue but definitely needs a lot more light as it’s very dark for a restaurant atmosphere. The staff are friendly and very helpful. I ordered the house made fettucine, chicken, mushrooms, baby spinach, parmesan, pesto cream sauce $30. The pasta was cooked well, the dish was quite nice. My partner ordered the garlic & rosemary lamb, marinated lamb strips, pita bread, house prepared tzatziki, roquette, cherry tomato & fetta salad, dukkah $22. The lamb was also cooked well, the dish itself was nice but it felt like something was missing.
Fantastic. Great service and Excellent food. Highly recommended.
Went with a group of friends saturday night. The food and beverage were great. The customer service was absolutely appalling. The waitress mixed up a single drink order. After sending three different wait staff over and some heated words towards us by the barmaid our drink was finally replaced for the right one. Seriously what could have been as simple as sorry for the misunderstanding let me fix that for you, one drink! it was completely taken overboard.
I had my birthday last week at manhattans and the service was fantastic! Not only was the staff friendly and out going but they let us stay later and have a sing a long. We ordered Tapas and it was great value for money and very tasty. Thank you for creating a great night for me and my family!
Nice ambience, I’ve only been in town when the tapas bar is open and haven’t been to the restauarant. Tapas food is good, but on both Monday nights that I’ve been here, the main sellers are not available. Tapas is not really an apt description. Services are a bit big for a tapas and a bit small for a main - so difficult for a solo traveller.
I was pleasantly surprised by this experience. This place is perfect for a relaxing drink and a good selection of gourmet tapas. For the quality and quantity of the food tapas, this place gets a big thumbs up. 5 Tapas dishes was enough to fully feed myself and my partner. The value for money is also exceptional when compared to an equivalent trendy spot in Sydney or Melbourne. This is a perfect place to come for a relaxing afternoon nibble and drink after work, a date, or a place to bring your non-local visitors to impress. Be sure to order the fried crumbed camembert wrapped in bacon on the tapas menu, which is topped with a delicious ginger sauce. In all, very satisfying and I will definitely be returning in the near future!
Dropped in for lunch as the location was convenient and I haven't been there with friends for a long time. Friend asked to order first and to his disappointment found the item he wanted wasn't available out of the "budget" end of the menu perhaps they should have mentioned it when handing menus out as we sat down, so I stuck to what seemed like a regular menu choice which was Beer Battered Flathead. Usually restaurants who serve this meal provide fillets, what came out on the plate was 3 or 4 small prawn sized pieces of fish with a small handful of chips and a salad. Comparing my meal with my friend, he managed to get more in his serving of salad in terms of key ingredients. Given I paid up to $25 for a meal and beverage, I would have expected more on my plate.
Nice atmosphere. Cocktail and wine lovers would enjoy this place. Quite a wait time for drinks though. And limited beer & spirit selection. Staff were absolutely lovely.
Had a good night. First time tapas. Food was nice but didn't Rock my world. Desert was amazing had the salted caramel popcorn Sunday yummy!
Were staying at the hotel Quest so we ordered off the tapas menu for room service. The dip platter was a dud; they really weren't dips more like finely blended qinelles of veges and not a lot of taste to the ones we received. I also did think the confit garlic would be blended into a dip not a container of whole garlic cloves - my mistake to not ask as the tapas menu sounded so good we did have difficulty choosing. However the special fried chicken was amazing!! Even reheated tbe next day it wzs delicious and the rosemary garlic marinated lamb must have been excellent, as i actually don't usually eat lamb and i did enjoy it. There are a couple of reasons i am giving them an average score. Me not liking the dip platter doesnt mean you won't - so has nothing to do with the score. However i felt there was not enough of the dressings that went with the various tapas plates. I don't want to drown my food in it but i do want to be able to actually find it not just have a smear on the plate. I also found the meat underseasoned, which may be to do with the lack of the sauces/dressing too. Anyway a bit overpriced for me but generally a good eat. Certainly if you are stzying at the quest i could recommend it as an easy alternative to going out
