I was on holiday in Wodonga and decided on a movie night since there wasn't much else to do whilst it just rained and rained. I love old buildings and this was no different, eventhough I didn't get to see much of it. I went for the Gold Class movie experience and was not disappointed. All staff interactions were friendly. Seating was comfortable. Food priced reasonably, tasty and generously portioned.
So so so impressed. If you you enjoy/admire history and buildings of such type, this is DEFINATELY the place for your cinema entertainment. We enjoyed our picture but I think I enjoyed the venue most of all.
While the seats in Gold Class were good and initial greetings as well, everything after that was below expectations. Food was late or didn't arrive, drinks likewise and the cinema itself was a mess and certainly not cleaned. It will be a while before heading back to this cinema unfortunately!
Cinema has been recently refurbished and everything is lovely. The staff are all very polite and helpful. The food here is good, though as with most cinema's it is expensive. As much as I appreciated the new furnishings, the cinema seats are horrid. They are auto recline which cannot be prevented. This is impossible for kids or shorter people and incredibly painful for lower backs. Due to this, I will only be attending sessions in Cinema 1 from now on. The new seats in that Cinema do not recline.
A fantastic heritage building in the heart of Albury. The cinema has recently been refurbished, keeping the beautiful vintage feel intact, with beautiful art deco details, gorgeous leadlight windows & super comfy chairs! Also really enjoy the renewed gold class, 5 stars!
Where to start... Tickets are stupidly expensive, seats are very uncomfortable, for some reason we were put in the 'Junior' cinema to watch Black Adam, and weren't told until we got the tickets. The candy shop food must also apparently be laced with gold, at least that's what the prices suggested. We were the only ones in there and had staff watching us for some reason, apparently we looked untrustworthy? What's the point in such expensive tickets when the seats are rubbish, one of the most important things in a cinema and yet it's rubbish. Such a shame , before the renovations and redo it was good, now it just seems like a cash grab.
Very expensive for what you get. Quite a few years behind most other cinemas in terms of seating and cost for seating. Even with a voucher you still need to pay booking fees and they won't take a booking over the phone. Money grabbing at it's finest. Food for gold class is all cooked using a microwave. If you can't microwave it, you can't order it.
Gold class !!! Ha, ha, ha. The worst movie theatre experience I've ever had. Was in the front row laying flat on my back, to avoid neck strain. It was so close to the screen that your vision couldn't take it all in..... let's say about 15 feet. In years gone by you use to pay less for front stalls. I suggest the theatre be reclassified to Gold, silver and bronze class, depending on seat location.... Front row is definitely Bronze Class. From this experience, will never go again.
Went to gold class and it was great however the food was sadly lacking. By the time it reached us it was lukewarm. The variety is good and the service is very good but they need to keep the food hot b4 it gets delivered.
I went to see a premier movie i was looking forward to alot, as a movie buff. I sat in the cinema and was confused if my hearing was impaired all of a sudden, after my second viewing I realised the audio in the cinema was impaired. As an excited patron i had no opportunity to express my disappointment but to accept the low quality within a capable organisation. Unfortunate. So much potential but no passion
