Perfect location close to the main part of town with very friendly and helpful staff and a neat modern well maintained structure. It also had a great little kitchenette, which is unusual in a hotel although there is no restaurant of bar and the free coffee via an automated espresso machine in the lobby was awesome better than many cafes offer.nMain negatives are that the small balcony had no outdoor furniture, and whilst the bathroom was very clean, it was showing its age a little. Also the view from the back of the hotel is basically across the hotel carpark and roofs of downtown Gisborne although that was reflected in the very reasonable price we paid so would definitely recommend a room with port view, if that's important to you.
Nice rooms, full kitchens. Gave it a four as there is no restaurant,you either have to come prepared or walk 15min to a supermarket. Not ideal at night alone to be doing this.
Nice Hotel, rooms are spacious. But like others have said it could use an upgrade. Some wear and tear visible. But very clean.nBeds are comfortable. Nice kitchen area. Our view was construction workers on the adjacent building. Might be worth it to get a seaside room with a view. Even if it's just a log yard, ships and a hill. Better than a bldg..nGave a 1 star downgrade due to the smell in the kitchen. Strong sewer or Sulphur smell. Esp. In the morning. Coming from around the refrigerator. Very strong...the room we moved to did not have the smell.nI would definitely stay again. Lots of T.V. channels, good Wi-Fi, nice walking path nearby. Easy walk to town. Friendly staff. Lots of parking.nIt would be 5 stars if not for the stink...
It was a very pleasant stay. The rooms were well kept, comfortable and spacious.nnThe service from the reception staff was fantastic. They really made me feel like I was an important guest.
Awesome Hotel. I had 2 great stays here. The rooms are very well setup. The pool and pool area was awesome as my stays were during summer. Full kitchen was great. Beds are comfortable and bedding was clean. The rooms were also very clean. The staff were amazing!! Really helpful and friendly. I would rate this Hotel as the best accommodation in Gisborne.
