Unfortunately this isn't a patch on the Malvern location. Great example of how franchises don't scale. $25 for a pizza, the bases are ordinary and toppings scarce. Overall tasteless pizza, we picked the pork belly off as it was just slop. Little ambience and average service. What a pity, I wish I spent my $150 at Figo instead.
Love love love it. Great decor and excellent pizzas. We shared three pizzas between the four of us and a few salads and it was a solid feed. I would also go here just for the choc pudding
Nice casual atmosphere. Great selection of somewhat traditional and non-traditional pizzas. Our table had the beef cheek pizza, a roasted pork belly and the special of the day - peas, pesto and Pancetta. All delicious.
A great spot for a lovely relaxed dinner with friends who are obsessed with food. Amazing customer service, drink selection and the pizzas are next level. Do yourself a favour and get yourself the spiced chicken pizza, its the best!
First things first, the pizzas here are just as good as any of the other Pizza Religion venues. There is one major difference to this venue than all of the others however and that is the open kitchen. If you're offered to sit at the bar you may want to reconsider as it could possibly hinder your experience a bit. I'm not sure if it's just a case of "The less you know the better" but with an open kitchen unfortunately comes some scrutiny on how your food is actually prepared. Firstly, none of the kitchen staff wear gloves. This isn't necessarily a bad thing as gloves are only as clean as the last time you change them. However, no gloves means responsibility to keep your hands clean as much as possible. There were often times that a kitchen member would handle food, paper receipts, their phones and even eat food themselves all without a single hand wash. Obviously, this doesn't look great, but also calls into question what this might mean for people with food allergies as there is a high chance of contamination here. I wouldn't recommend this place for anyone with severe food allergies like coeliacs or allergies with anaphylactic reactions as no guarantees can be made here about the preparation environment here. Secondly, it's probably worth the staff here being reminded contonuously that they are in fact on show, and that everything they do can be seen and therefore they should work as if someone is always watching over their shoulder. It's a shame to have to write such things about a chain of venues that really are great. I'm not sure how this will be fixed or if it even can be. We will definitely return as the food is outstanding, but probably not to this particular Pizza Religion.
One of my favorite pizza places in the area. Food is great and the staff is overall very friendly - definitely recommend.
Some of the best pizzas around!! Great atmosphere and a modern foodie take on the traditional pizza, loved it.
The food is great here but sadly the staff I saw working handled food - money - food, without washing his hands and never once was wearing gloves. Also waited around 20-25 minutes past the quoted time for pick up. Hopefully the management rectifies this issue Elsternwick
Try out the calamari entree with special mayonnaise... I had them twice in 1 week, 2nd time I took a friend.. He rated them better then the best and plenty of them to for just $12.50. AngieB
Love this joint. Their lamb pizza never ceases to disappoint. Staff super attentive and service on point.
