Love the setting, and the art / theatre of the signature cocktails. I would of given this place 4 or 5 stars, however we were a little miss lead as they are not a dessert bar as some of the photos show on the reviews. Very much recommended for cocktail and small nibbles. Thanks for the experience and friendly service.
Om Nom was originally a stunning dessert bar. Was hands down my favourite in Melbourne. The last few years they have changed to a cocktail bar, and whilst I miss their uber creative desserts, I love their current flair. Have been here countless times for both their high tea and cocktails, and will continue to keep coming back
Went today for a hens party. The savoury selection was lovely. Found some of the sweet selection overly too sweet. Lovely afternoon though the staff were great and very accommodating. It was overly warm in there as aircon was not working, which made it not pleasant to be in.
Booked a high tea for my friend’s birthday on a Sunday. The online booking process was easy and they confirmed via phone call. Our waiter Thomas was friendly and attentive, in fact all the staff were lovely. We enjoyed our afternoon and loved the high tea savory and sweet items as well as their range of fruit, black and green teas! I will definitely be back :
Friend took me here for a surprise. Very chill/dark vibes here, and super helpful/friendly staff. We were only here for dessert and some drinks. Recommend this place to anyone.
Our group went for the high tea. The sparkling wine was very good. They high tea has two courses a savoury course and a sweet course. Savoury course was excellent the sweet selection was nice but was two much. It would have been nicer is they did three courses with two savoury selections and a smaller sweet course. In both courses the scone was not that nice. The fairybread scone should be scrapped. The staff were excellent. The service was nice. The surroundings are really nice and has a nice ambiance.
The service was poor, both people that served us were rude and incapable of the slightest bit of change. The food was bland and inedible except the tiny little sandwich and incredibly expensive. Cheap champagne. These two plates and a glass of champagne for $75. You go to a high tea to have a classy experience but this did not meet this expectation. Go elsewhere and save your money. It's an "oh no" from me.
I had been here before and my last experience was magical. Unfortunately something was missing this time. Staff were fantastic and the presentation of food and cocktails still remain at a high quality, it's the flavour and missing the WOW factor. Marshmallow colada - marshmallow unfortunately tasted disgusting and the first 1/2 of the drink wasn't pleasant, but it did get nicer towards the end. The caramel expresso the waitress said it tasted more like caramel than coffee this was not the case. The desserts looked delicious and tasted great but just lacked something, the bread and butter pudding might of needed a little more sweetness and the Nutella ball as well. Again this place is a great venue but I just expected a bit more from the food and drinks.
Lovely setting, tables were spread apart, and music at a good volume - so great atmosphere. The drinks were more show than taste, unfortunately. The girls night out was quite bland and boring, bar the excellent raspberry sorbet in the lipstick tube. The spicy mango margarita was better, though not particularly exciting for the price. The seasonal dessert we ordered to go with it was very good, creative and well balanced. The salted caramel espresso and passionfruit martini were both tasty, though again, nothing too special.
Loved dining here! Glad to see they’ve kept the theatrical cocktails like girls night out, enjoying the new menu...oysters, chicken liver parfait, beef tartare and epic Ferraro Rocher dessert is a must. Staff were very lovely!
