Feel lucky to have such a great off lead exercise area. Friendly well socialized dogs and owners who clean up after their dogs for the most part. Only gripes have been about non dog owners picnicing who have thrown food scraps on ground and then become abusive about dogs showing interest. So maybe signage re THIS IS AN OFF LEASH DOG EXERCISE AREA might be helpful for people choosing a picnic spot or non dog owners walking with children unaccustomed to dogs.

Neat dog friendly space. Plenty of dog poop bags and rubbish bins around. Dogs we met were well socialised. No problems with any dog we met. Great relaxing place to stroll and watch the pooches be ecstatic and free. Loved it.

Great place to exercise dogs, owners and dogs alike very well behaved, maybe more towns could have something similar..

Went for a run on Petone Foreshore. Started with exercises at the park. Brilliant!

Great place, but right next to a very busy road. Would reccomended this as a great off lead area for those who have good recall on their animals as there is a mix of people and distractions (seagulls, cars & the occasional picnic). The west end has a fresh water lagoon-ish area for your dog to swim in after a walk. Public toilets, bins and dog bags available. This is a high use zone, and very rarely would you not come across other users, so would reccomended it as a place for well socialised dogs of all sizes.
