Percy Scenic Reserve
"A beautiful, quiet garden nestled in a gully surrounded with stunning native bush. The lawns and seats are perfect for picnics, and walking tracks take you to waterfalls and lookouts. The reserve is dotted with little treasures; a waterwheel, a duckpond, a weta cave and more. Group access to the nationally significant plant collection is also possible by arrangement. It's the perfect little escape!"

What a breathtaking place! This scenic park reserve is surrounded by lush greenery, with mountains, rough walking paths, and natural steps that take you on a little adventure. The highlight is the beautiful waterfall at the end — a perfect reward after the walk. The atmosphere is peaceful and refreshing, with the sound of birds, flowing water, and clean, oxygen-rich air all around. It’s an amazing spot for a quiet day out with the family, away from the city. Highly recommended for anyone who loves nature and a bit of exploration!

Absolutely gorgeous nature, well cared for tracks, a gorgeous waterfall that you can put your feet in to cleanse your soul and spirit, loved this, there is also multiple tracks to go on
Percy Scenic Reserve is an absolute must-visit if you’re in the Wellington region. From the moment you step into the reserve, you’re surrounded by beautiful native bush, towering trees, and the peaceful sounds of birds and flowing water. It feels like stepping into a little slice of untouched New Zealand paradise.nThe walking tracks are easy and well maintained, making it perfect for families, couples, or even a solo explorer looking for some quiet time in nature. The highlight for me was the stunning waterfall – it’s not massive, but it’s incredibly picturesque and makes for great photos.nI also loved the suspension bridge and the well-kept gardens near the entrance. Everything is clean, tidy, and clearly cared for. It’s an ideal spot for a relaxed picnic or just to unwind and escape the city without having to travel far.nIf you appreciate nature, native plants, and a peaceful atmosphere, Percy Scenic Reserve is definitely worth a visit. I’ll absolutely be back next time I’m in New Zealand!
Maybe the most beautiful little reserve in the Hutt Valley. Great place for picnics and the trek up to the waterfall seems almost prehistoric in places...a real hidden gem just 5 minutes from Lower Hutt CBD.
