Petbarn South Strathfield

This is a good all-round place for your general pet needs. Staff are nice. Parking is easy. Prices aren't always the cheapest around so it pays to do a bit of research online first. Got a lot of what we needed starting out for our new cat here but if we weren't rushed the prices online might have saved us a fair bit. Petting the cute kittens that are waiting to be adopted is nice too. I wouldn't recommend you adopt from here though, just go straight to the RSPCA shelters themselves as the staff there are more knowledgeable, there are more animals you can meet that need to be rescued, and it's just the right environment for animal adoption. Leave Petbarn just for the purchase of your pet consumables.

Was there on Monday and really needed staff help to get the purchase done quickly and decide on selection. Staff were roaming around without really doing anything ...but it took awhile to attract someone’s attention. Staff was not knowledgeable and looked like they were not happy to talk or give advise. Everything I asked about the products I was interested in none of them knew anything about. When I asked to compare two products that required to bring the item 10 steps away and switch it to power point staff appeared frustrated and reluctant to do it until after asking them to do it a number of times, one agreed to move both to display the product. I didn’t feel welcomed there at all and ended up spending more time than I could have should the staff been more knowledgeable of what they are selling and more customer oriented. 2 stars because of the great selection they have and great customer service I experienced if come on Saturday.

One of the relatively newer and larger petbarn store with a wide selection of foods and accessories for your pets. The store even has live pets for sale including a large selection of live fish. Staff were friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Their prices were very reasonable compared to other pet stores throughout Sydney.

I love pet barn, staffs always frienly and discount stuffs every week. Fresh beef meat and roo too.
