We enjoyed the Pirates of the Carribean with Perth Symphony Orchestra. 5 stars performance. The staff are super organised, and we felt safe and comfortable.nnMy only feedback would be the toilets. The shows are quite popular hence there's a crowd. It would be good if more staff are cleaning the toilets more and the rubbish bins for plastic drink bottles could be cleared at all times. The toilets were really dirty during peak hours, and rubbish were overflowing.
Took my daughter with special needs to an event here. A very friendly, helpful staff member named Kay took us through to the ‘wing’ side which is reserved for people with disabilities or mobility issues. This space had 10 chairs in a small room which allowed my daughter who doesn’t handle crowded spaces or people touching her arm etc an opportunity to have small movement breaks throughout the show. Absolutely awesome experience because of Kay’s help - was very much appreciated
Seats are pretty close together so you'll probably be brushing shoulders with the person sitting next to you, and if you need to move down the aisle and people are already seated you'll have to shimmy across basically sitting in their lap to get past.nFood and drinks are pretty pricey for what they are.nThere are nowhere near enough toilets for the women, you'll spend the entire intermission of the show in line if you need to use the bathroom.nThe show was amazing though it would get 5 stars if rated alone.
In the underground carpark, there's not enough signage to find the lifts to the theatre. When exiting the lift on the 2nd floor, there's still no signage to where the riverside theatre is or which way to go. All doors look like windows, and most are locked.nInside the centre the refreshments are quite basic and the coffee was lukewarm and mild! Not what I would consider reasonable at $6 for a small coffee.nWe now know for our next visit. The staff were all friendly and helpful. One lady in particular who I didn't get her name. Most helpful. Cheers.
Still sort of okay but in need of an update after 20 years of service. The plans for an update are finished, can't wait. It should have a similar impact for the city of Perth like the Opera Building for Sydney
