The hotel is fairly new, and everything is still fairly well kept. Even the bed and pillows are still firm, not "sinking". It is right across the road from the beach, and a short drive to restaurants and grocery stores like Woolworth. Their pool is kept at 28 degrees Celsius, which is lovely if you want to go for a swim. The only thing is, there was some weird dark red splatter on the wall by the toilet, in room 3. And when we rinsed the glasses before using, we realized the glasses were still soapy... Other then that, our one night stay before going on the Great Ocean Road was great.

The Sands Resort, Torquay is home to a championship golf course that ranks with some of the best in Australia. This predominantly links-style layout provides a wonderful test for your all-round game, with many attractive, skilfully crafted and challenging holes to enjoy. A must play if you are in the area. You'll need to stay at the Sands Resort if you want to play this course, which is generally reserved for members and resort-guests only.

Staff are friendly and helpful. Location is a bit out of the way but great for the golf course. Looks good but it is just starting to show some age and date a litte. Room size is good but feels impersonal might be exactly what you like but not for me.

Nice clean room with good amenities. Well maintained resort. Good health club with lap pool. Great buffet breakfast with good selection of food and views of the golf course. Dinner at the restaurant was relatively good value and staff were attentive.

Gorgeous resort, comfortable rooms, great customer service. (Extremely friendly staff especially Nash). Close to everything:Beach cafe , restaurants markets etc. We loved our stay it's our second time. For many more.
