After contacting David the owner with my concerns he was very apologetic. He assured me that this was a one off event. After he had inspected the cottage he agreed that it was in need of a good detailing and would rectify the situation immediately. He was very concerned about the quality of the hot water situation in the bathroom and would have a plumber attend to this as well. He also informed me that in very heavy peak times they do seem to have some difficulty with he internet and has been doing all he can to update this. David was very polite and professional on the phone and offered me a refund for some of our stay. The outside gardens of the facility a very nicely maintained and the location is very appropriate for families and walking distance to the beach and shops. Thank you David for being so understanding, I must say in hindsight I should have approached on the day of our first stay as I’m sure you would have attended to my concerns immediately. We may even come back for another stay. OMG I cannot believe this dump is advertised as 4 star are you kidding me. This place was filth, looked ok when first arrived then was hit by the filth. The cutlery was dirty, had to wash everything before we used it. There was mouldy greasy filth around the refrigerator, kitchen taps, bathroom taps and the plug holes in the kitchen sink would make you dry reach. The spa bath hahaha what a joke-every jet was covered in built up mould - would not dare turn this in bad enough had to stand in it to shower, water pressure was terrible and could not get a constant temperature. Trying to shower a 3 yr old and a 6 month old was a nightmare. I either nearly burnt them or froze them under the shower. The 3 yr old lost her pencils down the side of the couch and I near vomited when I saw there at least six inches of dirt, old food and people hair in the couch. The laundry sink was filthy and there plug well I wouoeven touch that for fear of loosing a hand from the bacteria. All around the floor was dirt and dust and cobwebs as you see these thing when you have to think about putting a 6 month old down to play-forget that idea. They had left old bits and pieces of condiments and the sandwich press was full of crumbs, the old food processor was absolutely disgustingly dirty. Some of the blankets had stains on them like they hadn’t even been washed. There was thick dust over the tv, INTERNT non existent, joke in this day and age. The cushions for the outside lounge where dirty and the BBQ was rusted and looked like it had been picked up off the rubbish heap. There was a pile of garden waste in the front garden. All in all it felt as though people lived here and where told to quickly vacate. This place is a SHOCKERS don’t be fooled by the pictures and so overpriced. Rate this 0/10. I even have the pictures to prove this review to be accurate.
