3 nights as an owner, just a basic room plus we had to pay housekeeping making us wonder what we pay for, no crockery or cutlery if we want to eat in, no microwave, aircon heating was terrible, set for 22 and too cold, 26 was OK but certainly not 26, next night set to 26 and too hot.nI know it's winter but reluctant to go there again.nNice base for travelling to points of interest and restaurants.
Our apartment was huge and perfect for traveling with a toddler. Amazed by the room view over the huge pool area which was a highlight for us. Large kids pool and spa were both great. The games room also provided lots of entertainment and we hired an e-bike from reception. Location was amazing, so close to the beach and we walked up to the shops and playground.
Good easy getaway. Parking was excellent. The hotel is right across from the beach and the town is not far to walk or drive. The indoor pool was great for a rainy day.nRooms are standard and very well used, but did the trick for a couple of nights.
Newly renovated room, beautiful pool area. Located right at the beach. Room offered full kitchen and washer and dryer so they must realize guests will stay a few days, but our 2 bedroom unit offered only one drawer. We couldn't really unpack. Would also have appreciated a microwave oven. Staff was friendly but couldn't offer any ideas about tours, wineries or really anything about sightseeing.
Used to stay in this resort at least once a month for a weekend surf trip. Last year I had a terrible experience with one of the receptionist so I was a bit traumatised. So this year I decided to give it another go maybe service had changed since. Currently staying for a whole week and gotta say honestly they’ve dropped the ball so bad. Room is just shocking for a Wyndham hotel, so many missing amenities and all staff are just downright awful and rude. Not sure if they’re overworked or just unhappy. But im currently trying to avoid interactions with any of them as much as I can as it just ruins my days to be treated poorly whilst on a holiday. Honestly not worth the location. You’re better off paying a bit extra and stay at The Sands as you’re greeted with a smile the moment you walk in the hotel. Will not come back again!
