I had a knee surgery on the 25th of March and it went successfully! The food was good and I was in a single room. I'm currently 13 and the hospital made my visit comfortable. The nurses were nice except 1, who kept rolling her eyes at me and the doctors/surgeons were so good. I think they should improve the tv cuz it only does channels. My room was right next to the reception desk which was pretty noisy at nightI had a 1 night stayAnd I could hear them gossip a lot but none of the talk was about me. My recovery is going well and talking with Ethanphysiotherapist and Dr.Sarah Murgatroyd which is making my rehab comfortable. I would give this a 5 stars but I think it still needs to improve a tad bit.They should also add a waiting room for families waiting for their members to be done with the surgery.Overall, it was a great time :
I was transferred to this hospital as a public patient with acute and chronic back pain after spending 10 hours at the public hospital. I arrived in the middle of the night and from the get go the staff was absolutely amazing. I seriously cannot fault a single member of staff from the nurses to the doctors to the catering staff. I was treated with so much kindness and respect and was never made to feel like a burden. The food was phenomenal also! I stayed nearly a week and every single day was a delight, being surrounded by such beautiful nurses truly helped me get better! I hope I don’t have to go back obviously but I would not be upset if I had to! A massive thank you to everyone involved in my stay.
My 5 stars are for the staff and food. Couldn’t fault them at all. Rehab team are fantastic.nThis hospital is very very tired the facilities for the majority of the hospital are terrible . Some bathrooms are shared by 4 and it’s about as big as a shoebox. Trying to manoeuvre walkers, shower and commode chairs is ridiculous.nThe views of the internal gardens is depressing the weeds haven’t been touched in a very long time. My view was of garbage bins and being woken in the middle of the night with the lids banging as the rubbish was put in. I mentioned it and it stopped for a few days and started again.
Absolutely Exceptional care was provided to my Father in his final week of life. Dad was transferred here as a public patient late Nov 2024 when Redcliffe Hospital was full. Whilst on admission it was not expected it was his final week, it went on to be so and the care and support from ALL staff including kitchen staff, cleaners, nurses and the Doctor Lydia Mowlem was second to none. You would not think that a Private Surgical Ward could provide end of life care like they did. I will forever be grateful for his final week being spent being cared for with such consideration to him, and to us as a family. They were Angels !
My 92 year old Father in law has been in this hospital since nice 22 nd of March that's 3 weeks and 4 days we still have not had any contact from a Doctor and had no idea that he now has MRSAnWe just found this out on The 13th AprilnStill waiting for a Doctor to call us, and it's now 16th of April
