Used to be a fantastic gym. What made it fantastic is that the gym had someone walking around telling people to put the weights back etc.nnPeter, the current gym manager does the gym a disservice. Weights are everywhere. Equipment hasn’t been maintained properly. New or updated equipment rarely comes into rotation. While the manager isn’t personally accountable for the above, they’re certainly responsible for getting stuff done!nnDespite providing feedback on numerous occasions, feedback is never actioned. Feedback that I gave was always very reasonable. I.e., toilets aren’t being cleaned properly, cable machine is too close to the mirror wall to properly leverage the machine, need someone to come in when it’s busy to tell people to put their weights back etc.nnFor the price of the membership, the facilities simply do not cut it. Membership fees are quite premium and do not reflect what you get for your money.nnIt’s all quite unusual. There always seems to be plenty of staff but the gym is certainly neglected. If you’re interested in a gym, for the price that PCYC charges, you should definitely look elsewhere.
Great facility for gymnastics, led by a very professional team. The give the kids the best experience and education. My daughter loves going to every training session. And excellent value for money.
It was a good gym 2 years ago but has gone badly downhill. A great boxing area, and a boxing club, has been closed and removed to make way for ever expanding gymnastics.nnThe staff here are less than enthusiastic or helpful and give the impression of not wanting to be there.
A good quality and affordable gym with sufficient amount of cardio and resistance equipment to ensure you don't need to wait too long even at busy times. Some of the equipment is getting a little tired but doesn't get in the way of a good session. Well run with friendly and helpful staff. Competitive pricing and great for a casual visit if you're just in town for a few days. On the edge of the CBD so if you're staying downtown grab a bike and it's a pleasant 10 minute ride up the foreshore and across the highway. Reward yourself with a coffee in one of Edge Hill's many cafes or a walk around the adjacent lakes and Cairns Botanic Gardens.
Fantastic establishment. Very friendly staff I only use the gym but has so much more on offer. 24/7 fob is great for those early starts
