Park Ridge Family Practice

I am in the area for around 4 months. Went in and asked about an appointment and made an appointment after been told it was $50 for an appointment for a pensioner and $37.05 back through medicare...so I had my appointment paid $50 and medicare rebate straight back at $37.05. Next appointment for results of blood tests...I was referred to nurses for care plan and also because I have no immune system to have a flu injection once at front desk. I seen a receptionist who proceeded with my payment to which I tapped but as I did this I noticed it was $60 and said thats wrong I am a pensioner and get it for $50...well then this woman said with a laugh your hardly 65 years old...to which I replied no...my pension is a Disability Support Pension and she replied that the discount is only for the old age pension...I argued that I did pay the $50 on my last/first visit but she argued and told me it is not for DSP because DSP is not really a pension...it's just an allowance they give you, not really a pension. Well after 3 years of absolute hell before I was granted DSP this person tells me it's not really a pension...I was absolutely distraught this person trivializes my chronic illness and PENSION as nothing. Another lady at the desk looked at the screen and said you can see she paid $50 last time so refund her $10...to which she supposedly did...but I have never received that $10 refund. I left and did not have my flu shot and told her to cancel my appointment with the nurse and that I would never return...because I could not be treated like this by anyone...it was disgraceful!! How could you have anyone treat someone like this working in a medical practice. I want a copy of my blood tests to take to another practice...please make these available to collect.

Been coming here since I was a baby. Drs are lovely. But always running late, expect to wait up to an hour easily.

This medical practice is one of the best running practices in brisbane & logan area. Being a new client, filling the form was simple & easy, its bulk billed and the staff are very friendly. I would definitely recommend everyone to visit this practice. Keep up the good work!
