Had an awesome time. Belinda Carlisle was incredible and so was her supporting act Joan and the Giants. Such a great old theatre. Its absolutely stunning inside. They've done well to keep it as original as possible.
A Grand old theatre, saved from the developers.nWe saw the Victorian opera reciting Puccini, and it was great.nThe seats are comfortable, service bars were fast serving and plentiful.nNext we will come to see Eurovision on tour in November.
Who doesn’t love a show at The Palais? I have seen many different performances over the years and all have been outstanding at this iconic venue.nnBeautiful theatre with old world charm but it was only on my most recent visit and I strongly suspect due to where I was seated, that I really noticed its age when it comes to accessibility. I found the stairs within the aisles rather daunting with nothing to hold on to and the first step itself is quite high.nThe top section of the stairs up to the Dress Circle had poor lighting also.nnThe sound was superb and the seating adequate.nnI wouldn’t hesitate booking to see another show here… but I might give the Dress Circle a miss I’m not brave enough to navigate those stairs!
The Palais Theatre is a magnificent venue in which to see or hear a show. The grandeur grows as you explore the levels and architectural features. It's graceful lines and well designed spaces are amazing.nWhen you book your next show or concert there you won't be disappointed.nnUnfortunately there is a design flaw that gives a line of sight from the first floor promenade to the gentleman's urinal. Nobody should be exposed to, or by that!
Palais Theatre is a beautiful venue with historic charm and stunning architecture. The ambiance really adds to the experience of seeing a live performance. However, the seating can be quite uncomfortable for longer shows, and the legroom is limited, making it difficult to stay comfortable. Additionally, the acoustics are hit or miss depending on where you are seated. Overall, it's a nice place to catch a show, but there are a few areas that could use improvement.
