What a lovely shop and great bookseller! On a recent visit I saw him go out of his way to make his customers happy. Great service! Good selection of books too.

Nice shop with good books! I thought they were a bit frosty with me though. I was super polite and they were a bit silent with me. Maybe because they thought I didn’t use hand sanitizer? Lol. Which I did. It’s a bit annoying as I’m so complient and completely understanding of covid rules, especially with small businesses amd especially in Cornwall. I do get it though as they must have to deal with a lot of annoying ppl challenging the rules!

I was after a specific book and this bookshop seemed to be the only one where I could pre-order it. I found another book whilst browsing the website which was in stock. The following day Isla contacted me to say pre-orders were taking a while and was I happy to wait or would I like a refund. I was happy to wait of course. I was sent the in stock book straight away and within a few weeks the pre-order arrived with a lovely note from Isla. Really happy with their customer service. The website was slightly confusing as the basket isn't where you would expect it to be. I could only find it by searching the word basket as I didn't realise it is at the bottom of the page!

A very good bookshop situated one road back from this very popular Cornish harbour in North Cornwall, on the River Camel. For a small independent bookseller, they stock a good supply of books, covering a range of titles and genres. If you want a book which isn't in stock, the owner is very happy to order it for you within 24 hours. Highly recommended.

Fantastic little book shop we need more shops like this and less chains. Staff are very helpful and friendly nothing is to much trouble. Wide selection of books for all ages and interest would highly recommend to any bookworm.

A great shop for books! Also staff are very good at picking out books, if you can not bothered. Recommended to read Starship Troopers, which was pretty good,  and I would have never picked this up because of "the film" version. Yet the book is pretty deep and philosophical for me anyhow.  Pay a visit. Leave with an awesome book that doesn't require charging up.

Lovely bookshop, great range, charming & knowledgeable staff, and they are going to stock my book! The Sustainable Smallholders Handbook, which is great as I've been telling people to get it there whilst doing talks in Cornwall!

Very knowledgeable and friendly staff, happy to spend time to discuss and suggest suitable books for our children. Both kids sorted with books for the remainder of their holiday and beyond.  Lots of books about the local area, fictional and non fiction. Would highly recommend popping in for a look.

Frirndly staff who took time to assist and advise my 8 year old on recommendations. A great selection of books as well as gifts. Staff appeared to be knowledgeable and passionate about books.
