So happy with my experience today. Reception was lovely and attentive. The vet staff were also professional and quick to treat my cat. I was able to pick up my beloved earlier than expected. Instructions of further care were throughly explained and I left very happy with a healthy cat. Many thanks:
I went early this morning as my cat been transferred from the after hour clinic. The receptionist was absolutely lovely, she went through everything with me and was really nice. Explained very well what will happen etc... It's really reassuring when your cat is so unwell to have nice staff who are there to help you. Really happy that I chose that clinic.
Very impressed with the service and team at the clinic. Our dog was referred to them for surgery, they took great care of her and have been amazing to work with our insurance company, including allowing insurance to directly pay them when we arent regular clients. Would reccomend them to all, we will be moving our pets to the clinic when their routine checks are next due. Very happy dog and owners!
Took my cat here. She had an avsess. Went 3 times and had different staff members all 3 times, to which I cannot fault any of them. The reviews I had read on Google had put me off and I was very nervous about going here. I am totally glad I did, the staff were kind and caring and went had me back extra times just to make sure she was okay. My rating is purely based on Vet Nurse that was involved in my consult today. Nurse Shannon is by far the best Vet Nurse across all three Our Vet sites. Shannon was phenomenal in her engagement, empathy and management skills. Thank you Shannon.
We have a new vet, Karen who we really liked during a recent visit. Reception staff can be a little unhelpful but overall we've had a good experience at Ourvets St Albans
We used to absolutely love this vet clinic, but our favourite vet left and we feel that everything has gone downhill since. Staff aren't friendly or accommodating at all. After a few bad experiences we are now looking to change vets. Would not recommend.
We have attended both the Parklands and Riccarton branch, they were both great. We loved the Riccarton branch, very friendly and respectful people on the desk and great vets. We moved and continued to attend there due to the service. Then the Riccarton branch closed, so we were asked to attend St Alban's. At St Alban's the receptionist is not very good at her job, and makes you feel like you're an annoyance. She is rude, talks over you, and it's an all round frustrating experience. When I enquired the approximate cost for vaccination she was rude and talked about how she doesn't have time, but then told me the costs. Then when I tried to ask about them she interrupted me and told me she's too busy. I then called up a different vet, they told me the costs and explained the two vaccines; they were also cheaper. If you're a receptionist working in a vet clinic then your should know the basics of most services provided, including approximate costs and in the past this has always been my experience. Or they offer to get a vet to call you back. When I called back to cancel the appointments and get my notes transferred to our new clinic, the receptionist at St Alban's even complained about having to do this for me, and said she'd do it when she had the chance. It's not my fault she can't do her job well and has poor time management skills, so I don't appreciate the comments or the rudeness. The receptionist is the first port of call in a vet clinic, and for some people having a good receptionist makes a difference. Not everyone can be a good receptionist; this lady needs a new job as she's not a good one.
