Story

Ormeggio at The Spit is a fine dining restaurant specialising in Contemporary Italian cuisine. We use both new and exciting and traditional techniques of cooking and deliver a very unique waterfront dining experience. We have a talented and experienced team of chefs led by Alessandro Pavoni and his Head Chef and Business Partner Victor Moya.

Food, the view and the staff are always so friendly and accommodating at Ormeggio.nThe “A trip through Italy” menu had a good selection of seafood, each dish was beautiful and delicious.nThe lounge chairs are a great addition.nAll the boats kept the kid entertained. Also the kids menu was well liked for our fussy eater and generous portions, maybe a bit too generous haha.

We visited Ormeggio for our first wedding anniversary and we couldn’t have choose better place. Great atmosphere right by the water. Friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff. The food was superb. All the dishes were perfect!

A restaurant with a lovely view, but overall left more to desire for considering it is a one hatted restaurant.nnWe booked through the events organiser for a wedding celebration for 18 guests with 3 kids. There was no congratulations upon arrival and lacked the warmth and welcome that you would typically receive at venue like this.nnFeeling disappointed and unimpressed with the food and service provided.

Celebrating our wedding anniversary at this gem of a place was an unforgettable experience. The service we received was nothing short of spectacular, enveloping us in an atmosphere that made our special day even more magical. Each dish we sampled was a delightful journey for the senses, perfectly cooked and bursting with flavors that danced on our palates. Although I found the prices slightly on the higher side, the freshness and quality of the food justified the expense, leaving little room for complaint. If you're seeking an exquisite venue to mark a significant occasion or simply to indulge in a memorable dining experience, I wholeheartedly recommend this establishment.

Service was good and great restaurant location. Not particularly busy on a Friday night. Had the degustation menu Trip to Italy which was somewhat disappointing. The menu needs to be redesigned to create more balancing, it was way too heavy on cream/sauce and butter/oil. Unfortunately didn’t bring back any memory of our recent trip to Italy.
