Story

Ormeggio at The Spit is a fine dining restaurant specialising in Contemporary Italian cuisine. We use both new and exciting and traditional techniques of cooking and deliver a very unique waterfront dining experience. We have a talented and experienced team of chefs led by Alessandro Pavoni and his Head Chef and Business Partner Victor Moya.

We had a wonderful dinner experience at Ormeggio. With a table at 6pm it was perfect for an early evening with a beautiful setting of sunset on the marina. Wonderful service with friendly, attentive staff & most importantly delicious food. This is definitely for a special occasion as it is on the expensive side but well worth it. Well put & presents meals, very tasty & fresh which made for a special evening.

Celebrating our wedding anniversary at this gem of a place was an unforgettable experience. The service we received was nothing short of spectacular, enveloping us in an atmosphere that made our special day even more magical. Each dish we sampled was a delightful journey for the senses, perfectly cooked and bursting with flavors that danced on our palates. Although I found the prices slightly on the higher side, the freshness and quality of the food justified the expense, leaving little room for complaint. If you're seeking an exquisite venue to mark a significant occasion or simply to indulge in a memorable dining experience, I wholeheartedly recommend this establishment.

Lunch today at Ormeggio was one of the most delicious meals I've had. The location is lovely-right on the water with views from each table. The staff were so friendly and attentive, without being too much. But, most importantly, the food was really sensational.  So full of flavour and so beautifully presented. I can't remember the last meal that I've had that I really loved from start to finish as much as this one. I will definitely be back!

Beautiful location and excellent service. The cocktails were complex and tasty, enjoyed their unique take on a margarita. The food was delicious and quite filling, especially loved the snack starters and the swordfish. Definitely would go back.

4.5 overall, but gave it a 5 as chef Victor is so charming.nI didn't have high expectations before arriving as just went to their sister restaurant Amare at crown on Thursday and that was terrible both in service and food.nBut this place was very different, open and breezy maybe a little bit tok much sun in the arvo, pleasant service, and food was well made too. On the plus side, the seafood was all delightful, especially the crab brioche, coral trout, and scampi. Improvements can be made on the parmeson fritter which was a tad too salty, and the risotto was a bit grainy and sour, however the lobster in it was cooked perfectly and fresh.nMy friends bday was forgotten so she was a little disappointed, and we were left waiting for a long time when they got busy, but chef victor presented us with a special off the menu desert which made up for it all.
