The animals seemed well taken care of (which is very important to us), there was a good variety of native and foreign animal species. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, the food was great and prepared in a reasonable amount of time. The only bad thing I have to say about our visit there was that the groundskeeping was quite awful. Pathways overgrown, the occasional tripping hazard across the path, and a lot of the landscaping seemed to be... Dead. It Almost made the experience feel cheap (in a bad way) just because of the maintenance. But if you're looking for a fun day with the kids, a date, or just taking a look for yourself, this is definitely a fun place to visit.

This park is amazing. We were able to interact with so many animals and watch the different animals at their feeding times. The staff are awesome and the layout is really easy navigate. Feeding the giraffes was a good animal bonding activity

What a great day out for the family. Friendly helpful staff. Reasonable entry fee for a full day of fun. You are given a map and times that the animals will be feed. I prefer arriving early as the animals appear more lively. I feed the giraffes which was an awesome experience. The Gorillas are a must see and are the only ones in NZ. They have orangutans as well at the moment visiting from Auckland zoo . A must see. There is a free shuttle that stop at various stops along the way. And it has a ramp for wheel chairs. also a great picnic area and playground. There is free bbq's to use as well as a shop where you can purchase food.highly recommend taking your family Strollers are a good idea for young ones as the park is huge and lots of walking.

This is the best Animal Park experience in the World. Wonderful folk taking great care of some amazing creatures in a fantastic environment. I've been to a lot of Zoo's and Parks all over the World this place is Great.

This park is so amazing. There is so much do see and do. There are over 400 animals in total. I loved the shuttle service and how they explained everything to you clearly. You also get to experience feeding girafes and other animals. Def going again. All love ♡
