While Queenstown is generally done at full pace, Onsen Hot Pools takes a step back to let you take in the beauty of the surroundings and simply relax.

With uninterrupted views across the Shotover Canyon, our Cedar Hot Tubs are heated to 37.8C on warmer days and up to 39.8C during the winter and can accommodate up to four adults. Our natural setting is matched by the pure water captured on its endless journey between the sky and earth to continually fill and refresh the pools. With complimentary transport to and from Queenstown, Onsen Hot Pools is relaxation the natural way.

Beautiful place. We went from 8-10pm so we could experience day and night. I think generally guests would spend an hour. An hour would be enough time but I feel like maybe a tad rushed once you shower before and after. On arrival you are greeted and are able to select drinks and snacks. Pretty small serves (snack size) and given we had booked and paid for double the time, thought maybe we would get extra. I love the experience I had though and would defiantly go again. There is nothing really stopping you from taking your own snacks and drinks in either. Personally liked the day side as you get to look out at the view but both amazing in their own right.

Relaxing atmosphere. Nice scenery. Hot pools were nice, could maybe have been a bit hotter. Massage was really relaxing, great service and a nice team. Only wish they had more shower facilities and had offered these after the massage so we didn't leave covered in oil.

Lovely place to relax and unwind. Friendly service straight away as you walk through the door. Great selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks along with food options to add as an added extra. The view is marvellous and all pool rooms overlook the beautiful shotover river. The rooms are all private so you can relax and get comfortable in your own area. It also has a screen door that folds down if the weather is rough. Private also contains your own shower so you can rinse off after your dip in the pool.

Really nice environment. Every room has a private hot pool that opens up to a view overlooking a gorgeous valley and mountains. Just know that's It's hot pools... and that's it. In my opinion to promote repeat business It would be 20 times better if they served some wine/drinks (they don't have a liquor license), and had massage services. Maybe you guys could have a little cafe area with some nibbles too? It would be nicer (and more worth your time getting out to this place) to do the hot pool, go for a massage, and then sit with your girlfriend's in the cafe enjoying some wine and cheese... But at the moment it's just the hot pool. Still nice though. Worth a try. Def a must for the tourist!!

Friendly and professional service, nice private environment great for a group up to 4. We added a bit of extra cash for an ice cream and an alcoholic drink which adds to the experience. Time definitely goes by quick in a good way. For best photos wait for when the sun's not as harsh but unfortunately for us timing was an issue.
