Under new management and the new owners are fantastic, the young lady always wanting to know how the food and drinks were. We have been a number of times and she always remembers us. Have no complaints, everything we've had so far has been excellent. You have to try the Mint hot chocolate, delicious. Highly recommended..
I had the most wonderful experience with the new owner Rachel. She was interactive with my partner and his kids and welcomed us all as family. Thankyou for giving amazing service and delivering beautiful sweets for us all! 10/10 Highly recommend this beautiful families Oliver brown! Kid-friendliness: Very accomodating to the kiddies laughing and interacting with them! Rachel was amazing! Made the whole experience very enjoyable!
Was very disappointed to see only 1 staff member on early this morning. This young lady did an outstanding job considering how busy she was all on her own for the duration of an hour that I had been there. I hope she got some help come in after I had left. I could see alot of customers being disappointed for the wait time. I'm a frequent visitor to this store, Shame on the new owners for not having adequate staffing levels to meet demand and obvious strain on this beautiful young lady who provided outstanding service and could still smile through trying to be at the till serving, behind the coffee machine and plating food up as well as making cold beverages, clearing tables and washing dishes. She was an absolute trooper. In future it would be appreciated if management could put more staff on to ensure fair and safe work conditions are met.
The hot chocolates were super yummy and had lots of chocolate but the churros were nothing like churros. They were like hard pastry with no flavour. Staff were friendly and service was quick. Would stop in for a drink but not churros again
Constructive, open and honest feedback obviously isn't listened to at Oliver Brown Café Charlestown Square. We ordered two cappuccinos requesting them at 80+ degrees which is to OUR liking both come out warm after waiting 10 minutes and being the only 2 people in the store. We took them back and once again, requested them to be remade at 80+ degrees to one of three staff that was working, we waited yet another 10 minutes and were served quite abruptly not in a polite, apologetic and wanting-to-help manner a second time and they weren't much hotter, they certainly weren't 80+ degrees. We offered polite feedback upon leaving and management gave us a shrug and a sneer and we were on our way... NEVER to return again probably to the management's joy. To management - If you don't want to be in business, train your staff and LISTEN to what clients like and want, then why not save yourself and customers much frustration and close your doors for good!!! To Coffee Lovers - You're hard-earned money will be better spent, and you'll be better listened to, respected and actually get "What You Ordered" at The Smelly Cheese Café or Doughnut Kings downstairs at Charlestown Square.
Perfect ,The staff does an amazing job ,the service was speedy and friendly,I loved the service at the place and the new manager is so friendly with the guests and always takes care to offer the best quality. Highly recommended.
I love Oliver Brown but this store was awful. We were the only customers in the store and it took 30 minutes to receive one serving of churros and 2 coffees. The churros were cooked on a sandwich grill. We received them burnt on the outside and raw in the middle
Came here last Saturday as a last minute treat for our kids. There was 9 kids, and 9 adults. When lining up, we were rudely spoken to by an older female worker, abruptly telling us that in future we need to make a booking if we were going to come with such a large group, as they needed to 'plan' for this many people to come in. Majority of the kids had only ordered a strawberry dip plate, and at no point did we indicate we were in any rush. We said ok, but she continued to push the issue and wouldn't let it go. I mean what else where we meant to say, but yes... It came off incredibly rude, and even the customer behind us made a similar comment to us that it was rude and uncalled for and that customer was also surprised why they had brought it up as there was only 1 other customer in there and they had already received their food. Whilst we were there, no other customers had come through. And I would think for a Saturday at a busy shopping centre, you'd have more than 2 staff on anyway. But I guess it didn't matter as there really wasn't anyone else in the cafe except for us. It's a real shame, as the kids liked their treats. Crepes were nice, Churros were pretty average though. Maybe in future, be polite, and just say it in a friendly tone, rather than being rude and obnoxious. Plus it doesn't need to be constantly repeated. Being told once is enough. Next time we will head elsewhere.
Although It took forever to get the order and we didn’t complain. The manager brought our waffles with only two thin barely seen lines of chocolate. I asked for more and obviously paid for as she VERY RUDELY said you have to pay for! Ok You want the $3.50 take it but don’t you lie to me saying this how it should be !! and respect will not cost you anything. I am a regular customer of Oliver Brown and went to other Oliver Brown places and never seen what you gave me! Very RUDE. Totally not acceptable. July 14, 2022
It’s very good stuff. Chocolate is smooth and flavourful. Shop decor is very nice as well. Dark hot chocolate could be darker, but still nice.
