Love the not pretentious atmosphere and menu!nWe are from Melbourne, and after visiting the Great Buddha near Bendigo, we looked for a place to have lunch and found this pub on google Maps. To our surprise, the pub has a great community atmosphere and our food was delicious. Their selection of local wines is also highly recommended. A bit away from the city centre but this pub will be our favourite place to have meals whenever we visit Bemdigo again.
We had a lovely late lunch here this afternoon to celebrate a birthday. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The meals were very tasty. We had pumpkin cannelloni, slow cooked rolled lamb shoulder, pie of the day with chips instead for one of the kids, kids nuggets and chips, kids cheese burger and chips. So delicious! Great atmosphere! Highly recommend a visit.
Our meals were delicious, nice portions as were everyone around us.We brought dessert to take back to our accommodation for later & was very impressed as to the extra cream & raspberry coulis they packaged up with it. One hint would be if you do p prefer more light in the eating areas book the inside terracenDuck was so good. Smoked sausages wonderful too
We enjoyed a lovely meal here. The Lamb Pie was amazingly delicious and my husband loved his porterhouse steak. The servers were all friendly. It was great to look around the hotel at all the photos and pictures.
We really loved the atmosphere of the pub. Lots of history displayed on the walls and the Terrace area was very comfortable to be seated for our meal. Food was delicious with large portions. There were plenty of options for those with dietry needs. Will definitely return next time we are in Bendigo.
