This is the worst office works in Canberra. The customer service is pathetic. Avoid at all costs! They won’t even offer you a refund for orders they have lost they will tell you to come back and print for free. The lady with brown curly hair at the photo centre is nothing but rude and likes to keep people waiting for as long as possible. Really bad attitude problem.
They stock office supplies and other such products. All that I have bought has lasted a fair while. Years old electronic products from established brands yet to fail. Expect a slight markup on electronics due to being a retail store.
Would give no stars if it was an option.Went to buy a $27.99 whiteboard and was going to be charged $49.95 at checkout. Showed the rude staff member the advertised price under the remaining 4 boards on the shelf and he arrogantly stated that office works' policy is not to pay the cheaper price for incorrect pricing. Implied that some customers swap items on the shelf me I suppose. I asked him to check the other items and their labels as I did not have my reading glasses. 5 of the 6 types of items ~ 27 boards were in the wrong place and had incorrect pricing. Still would not honor ACCC multiple pricing guidelines. Took a photo while he was standing there as proof.
I have always had great experiences with office work until today. Not coming back to this store for sure. We requested to see the standing electrical desk in operation. It need the desk to be moved closure to the PowerPoint. Got told it’s a safety issue moving desk. Wow. Well, no worries I left the section and did a few others things in the store. Walk past Heidi and Daniel, the ones who served me with the desk bit. They both were *itching about me. Exact words “what’s wrong with people, they can see how the desk looks” I just nodded and said yes, can see the desk but not check the operation for which you’re asking the extra $300. Thanks but no thanks for next time.
Spoke to Heidi about swapping a printer Drum which I'd bought incorrectly instead of a toner cartridge. With the manager's consent she left the toner at the counter for me to swap later that day. Professional and courteous phone manner. Good customer service.
was trying to buy some things a while ago and the two girls at the front were laughing. took them about 5 minutes to even notice me standing and while serving me, kept breaking out into laughter with each other and whispering in each other's ears.. didn't make me feel comfortable as they were looking at me while whispering.
What is the point of having click and collect if there is no separate line for collections only. Numerous times I have had to wait 30+ minutes with people trying to figure out what type of document they’re printing when I’ve already completed and paid for my order prior to attending the shop. Please make separate lines so that click and collect customers don’t have to waste their time.
I would like to thank the incredibly helpful young woman with the curly hair in the print section. I am quite illiterate when it comes to technology, and this lass was really kind and patient, talking me through the process to print my images for my new frames. Will definitely be coming back to this store.
Just been to Officeworks Tuggeranong, the girl at the Photo Counter dark curly hair was nothing but rude, flippant with any questions, with a smart mouth, not friendly, not helpful in any way, definitely had an attitude problem, was happy to help a man, but for some reason not me. She suggested I email what I wanted printed, I asked the email, “you’ll have to get up and get it” . When all was sent to printer, she was avoiding serving me, but there was no one else there, then more rudeness. I decided not to get my prints, told her she was rude and left, paid for my other things at front cashier, who was apologetic for her behaviour. Is she a Trans type and hates females, is she transgendering into a male? She needs to be out of Customer Service because she has none. Fix her attitude!
Bought a JVL TV from Officeworks, it didn't last past the 12 month warranty period. I took it back to the local store for a refund. The store denied a refund and advised we need to send it away for repair first. I believe the TV has a major issue therefore the consumer should be entitled to a full refund. Anyway, having no other choice, I gave them my details to have the TV assessed for repair. One of the questions in the repair form was around accepting refurbished parts to be used in the TV, once again the only choice I had was to say yes to this question otherwise they would not send it away for repair AND I could not get a refund.... 3 weeks later I contact the store for an update. Their response "its still here in the store"... 3 weeks my TV has been sitting in the store... and possibly another week or two before I get my TV assessed and fixed!! Contacted head office about this and they were useless, they actually advised it could take up to 6 weeks!!! This is not a fair and reasonable time frame for a TV to be fixed. They also mentioned they have the right to send an item away for a second repair before they even grant a refund!!! Now I'm sure this does not comply with consumer law. None of the above seems reasonable practice at all. My hands were tied and I held no rights in my purchase. Even the added replacement warranty you pay for, they will also send away first for assessment and repair. What a rubbish service and company
