I recently attended the respiratory clinic for the practice and have nothing but high praise for the professionalism, understanding, and friendliness of all of the staff at the clinic. The instructions were clear and especially safe considering I was there for Covid-19 testing. The doctor was especially calming and helpful and I appreciate all of their efforts. Well done team. Great effort in challenging circumstances.
Had my second booster injection here today. The staff are friendly, welcoming and very professional and efficient. Didn’t even feel the needle. The whole set up is excellent and I would definitely recommend this practice
I have been attending this practice for 28 years. I was asked to complete a review following my appointment on the 11/1/23 to collect an ultrasound result. The GP was 40 minutes late yes, I do understand how that happens and no apology was forthcoming. I received my results during a very brief consultation and was advised by the receptionist that I needed to pay the full fee. I informed her that I was just collecting results, as I was told to do, but she insisted I pay the full amount. I have collected results many times over the last 28 years and only paid the medicare rebate.
Have mixed feelings about the clinic. I’ve visited many times and it was great. Today was different. My appointment waiting time was half an hour. The doctor was giving me a lot information and I asked a few times to write this information down as it’s hard for me to remember everything at once. She didn’t really write much which made the given information not usable as I left the room being confused. Didn’t feel like I was heard at the appointment. No hard feelings for the clinic just today’s experience was not a 5 star one.
Very easy to book online, same day appointments were available. Got to see a doctor straight away. The respiratory clinic is great for anyone with cold/flu symptoms that cannot see a normal GP. All the staff were very friendly and helpful
Time on hold was way too long. More human interaction at this stage with maybe an offer gor the surgery to call patient back rather than listen to on hold message roll over and over again. Staff - Emma / Emily, was great.
Very poor communication. I was left a message my appointment would be canceled and I needed to phone back to reschedule. When I attempted to phone back I waited 30min without connecting with anyone. The auto service repeated I was first in line then second in line. Then I get a text to say thank you for attending when I didn’t as it was canceled by the clinic. As a healthcare provider this service needs a review
I had a horrible experience with the Admin staff at the practice today. The patient made a telephone booking to see the GP yesterday over the phone and the guy on the reception assured the patient that he had booked the slot for her at 9:45 am for the next morning. When the patient walked in this morning he refused and denied altogether that he didn't make any such booking for her today and even can't accommodate her for any booking on the same day. I walked in to assist my patient as I heard the communication very clearly between the patient and the receptionist as I was making notes of his conversation. He never acknowledged his mistake and was too rude and unprofessional and started bullying and harassing me altogether.I, being a doctor myself, will never recommend any patients or their families to go for this practice as they treated the patient as well me in such an ungraceful and undignified manner.When I asked to speak to the manager directly to report this incident the assistant manager told me that she cant forward me the email address or the contact number of the manager as he is on his trip to NewZealand and instead of being apologetic tried to cover up his colleague. It was a highly stressful experience for us, the practice needs to look into how their staff are treating the vulnerable patients. Highly unprofessional and Unethical behavior towards patients. Response: After Conversation with the Manager 19/12/22 Thank you for following up and speaking to me earlier over the phone today in regards to the incident that took place on few weeks back.First of all , apologies for the names mixup; the credit goes to your staff who provided me with the wrong information in the first place as I still have evidence of the card your assistant manager provided me. The receptionist who I and my patient spoke to and the Manager who runs the practice both share the same first names . Secondly,I have zero respect left towards the Manager; after having such an immature conversation coming from him .The Manager of the practice, called me in today apparently; was stalking my whereabouts and my qualifications which is a breech of my privacy altogether , was too focused on bragging himself and his achievements of the awards of excellence which he mentioned multiple times during our conversation rather than focusing on solving the dispute that arose in the first place. The way you are accepting openly on this platform right now and acknowledging that mistakes do happen at the front desk if you and your staff were polite enough to do that in person to the patient this dispute would have never arisen. If you have a zero tolerance for bullying, rude, aggressive or abusive behavior toward our staff; the same principle applies to the patients and their attendants too. You showed zero acknowledgment that the distress your staff have caused to the patient by mixing up the appointment in the first place, never took responsibility of your actions instead was trying your best to bully me by questioning my whereabouts and covering up for your staff actions saying that I have provided an inaccurate review about the practice and tried your best to harass me that it was me who needs to work on the communication skills . Instead of putting the blame on the patients and their attendants ; it would be nice to acknowledge the mistakes of your staff too and resolve the conflict. It's disappointing to witness it from someone referring to themselves as an excellent Manager with zero communication skills and no expertise on managing dispute resolution altogether. If you are treating health professionals with such an unprofessional and disrespectful manner; I doubt the vulnerable patients are being treated with any respect or dignity either. The patient overheard our conversation too and was shocked by the way you were communicating with me too.The conversation we had today is pretty much contradictory to your statement saying that you welcome feedback in every form for growth and improvement.
Went to the respiratory clinic as my GP really did not want to see anyone with a cold at least not before another 5 days. Easy to arrange and no waiting. Really was just a cold and the symptom I was worried about is normal. Thus visit allayed my fears and was carried out professionally.
All the staff and doctors at Nundah Village Family Clinic are caring and put the patients first. My doctor gives me a sufficient amount of time at my consultation. He listens to my concerns.
