Accessible station with both underpass walkways and street crossing to travel to either side of busy Springvale road. Major bus routes along Springvale road can take you all the way to Frankston or the airport.nHas bike and car parking.nAlso a safe well-lit station - including the car park. The underpass in the only 'dark' zone. But would be an issue only very late at night.nFirst criticism is the smaller screens on the platform only show the destination with a scrolling display of the stops. When you're rushing to catch a train, you don't have time to figure all this out - especially in peak times with frequent services. Box Hill has full sized screens, so it's obviously possible to install if PTV wanted to do it.nSecond criticism is the train car park is not time limited. So theoretically, people can park there for over 24 hours. More than enough time needed for a reasonable daily commute. Needless to say, the carpark is always full.
A new, modern and clean station. There is an undercover waiting area, and a lift down to the platform otherwise there's quite a few stairs. Importantly the station platforms can be accessed from either side of Springvale Road, allowing easy access to bus connections. This is a station that is function over form no real landmark photographs here but does it's job well.
In 2 years, for the first time I faced a rude behaviour. I went to recharge my myki. The office person was standing outside of the train station desk on 8:45am. I gave him card and money and he asked WHAT DOES IT MEAN. I said If I am giving you my card and money from outside so it means I want to recharge my card. He said I am from India.He recharged it, and was holding my card and remained silent and train was on platform and he was feeling it that I am in a hurry while again and again I was looking at the platform then I said Thank you to let him know that give me my card.
Toilets are absolutely revolting and reek of piss all the time. I think they're cleaned maybe once a year. Avoid for your own safety. The trains station itself is fine in general.
Well..nMonday to Thursday - nFriend - nSaturday and Sunday - nnIs a good area to Glen Waverley.. only the problem is Don’t have Bus after 9:30pm on Saturday and weekends day ..
