We stayed at NRMA Treasure Island with our three kids during the July school holidays and had a great time overall.nnAs a low-income family, it was a little on the expensive side, but the range of activities and entertainment included for the school holidays was incredible and really helped justify the cost. There was always something happening for the kids, which made it a fun and memorable stay!!nnThe location is fantastic too; close to all the major Gold Coast attractions, making it an excellent base for exploring!!nnWe stayed in Cabin 101 next to the tennis courts.nThe cabin itself was a little dated and showing its age, and the bathroom layout was quite cramped. On the plus side, the shower had fantastic water pressure, which was a pleasant surprise after busy days out!!nnWe’d definitely consider staying again, especially for the family-friendly atmosphere, school holiday activities, and convenient location!!
We had an amazing stay at NRMA Treasure Island Gold Coast! The staff were absolutely fantastic, especially Kaitlin and Jamie from the Activities Hub who went above and beyond to make the kids feel welcome and entertained.nnThe food was delicious, the rooms were spotless, tidy and very well looked after, and the beds in the Courtside Ideal Cabins were super comfortable.nnThere’s so much to do for families, from the mini golf and pools to the awesome pirate-themed water park. The whole park was clean, well maintained and had such a great atmosphere.nnThe kids activities were fantastic too, although it would be great to see a few more running during non-school holiday periods.nnOverall we had such a wonderful experience and would definitely go back again!
Until this visit, we had always been very happy to return. Unfortunately, our most recent stay was extremely disappointing. Almost all of the villas surrounding the main pool were occupied by a very large group of young people who were drinking heavily, shouting throughout the day and night, and taking over the pool area and surrounding facilities. On the third evening we raised our concerns with reception. The staff member apologised repeatedly but told us there was nothing he could do. No attempt was made to address the situation or even remind the group to be considerate of other guests. This was particularly frustrating because we were attending an important sporting event the following day and needed a good night's sleep. Instead, loud music was still playing at 3:40 a.m. What disappointed us most was not the behaviour of the group itself, but the complete lack of action from management. Surely a resort has a responsibility to ensure the comfort, wellbeing, and reasonable enjoyment of the facilities for all guests, not just the loudest ones. We have stayed at this resort for four consecutive years and have always enjoyed the experience. The facilities are good, the rooms are clean and comfortable, the pools are warm, and there are plenty of activities for children. After four years of loyal visits, this experience has unfortunately made us reconsider whether we will return.
Stayed at the River Side lodge. Appreciated the cleanliness of the accommodation and the friendliness of staff and response.nPools were good. Appreciated the heated pool we stayed during end July.nOnly one slide; additional sides would add to the fun.nGood range of activities.nThe unit we stayed at kitchen requires maintenance broken cupboards, no sharp knife.nDisappointed that the main splash pool was no operational during our stay.
We stayed in a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom ensuite, pandanus villa. These rooms are very spacious for a family of 4, with your own deck with a bbq, outdoor dining, spacious living, kitchen and dining inside, and own laundry facilities. Bonus having 2 bathrooms. This is our second visit and I must say I was a little dissapointed with some things.nThe park was extremely over crowded which was expected being school holidays, but that also meant pools were packed on hot days like a sardine tin. No shade on pools which is a little annoying. But the biggest downfall for the park is the outdoor furniture, since staying last time the lay back pool seats have been swapped out for plastic cane furniture with white cushioning, for the pool and public areas. As you can imagine the seats have seen better days, they are stained, ripped and every seat cracked or a huge hole and not able to be used. This made it harder to sit beside the pool and watch the kids. We went to play mini golf after Dinner but lighting wasn't great on all over the course which made it hard to see some of the holes. But the course is in desperate need of a clean up, the greens are covered in leaves and debris. One of our mornings we went to buy a hot chocolate and coffee, we were a little shocked at the price when paying at almost $17 for 2 drinks. Then having to return a few mins later as the hot chocolate tasted like warm milky water. On a plus they have the karts to hire for kids. The basket ball, tennis court, table tennis, mini golf, the night time cinema on the grass, play ground, jumping pillow and splash park are all free to use. Pools are open early until 9pm. As most parks do, they have rules which are great, but no one polices them for example, no kids wear helmets while on scooters or bikes, every second kid was on electric scooters or ebikes in the park. I was watching my kids at the splash park on two occasions witnessing adults and children taking their dogs into the splash park. With staff looking on and saying nothing. Another plus is harbour town only a few mins walk from the front gate, hungry jacks across the road, woolworths up the road, coles down the road. Surfers paradise only 10kms away. And theme parks only 10 kms away in the other direction.nI would still visit again but pools need some shade and definitely need new furniture, possibly hard wearing not plastic and no white cushions.
