I love Griffith University Village super much! I think Griffith University Village is the best accommodation for Australian students and international students studying at Griffith University! Its team is super friendly, kind, nice, and supportive! I would definitely recommend students to choose Griffith University Village when studying at Griffith University! Don’t stay here. So many malfunctions of fire alarms everyday. I couldn’t sleep at all even though it was just before exam week. If u wanna live here, u would have to get along with some insects for sure. The number of washing machines is just six. There are more than 100 residents there. 6:100?!?! Go Smith nearby.
Not suitable for human survival. The place is so dirty when I first moved in and noise pollution every morning from the construction site next to it. No oven, broken microwave. Insects and spiders are living with you and my nice roommates turned the kitchen into an insect and bacteria incubator. Recommend to search for smith collective nearby
This is our five people apartment looks like, but I'm not sure if all the apartment are the same.nI wouldn't say it's really good, buy for me it's still ok.nThe only thing that I couldn't accept is that there is no air-conditioned apartment.nnFor the toilets, it has two in my apartment.nOne is combined with the shower, the other is separation.nnIn your own room you'll get the basic stuff like chair, table, bed without the quilt or pillow, closet, a medium size bucket.nnFor the location which it takes about 10-15 mins walk to the Tram station.
Save your money; don't rent here. Management could not care less about you, and they take your bond! Stayed here for 4 months during my exchange and specifically asked to be hosted with people doing an exchange as well At least 70 people in the village, but got put into a slum living environment with international students instead. I paid $1600/month to live in a five bedroom place with laser thin walls, horrible management who don't listen we had no balcony for two months, even though I complained, no oven, and unsanitary bathrooms/showers because the people living there don't care and also cockroaches. Good place to meet people, horrible and insanely expensive place to live. Furthermore, they took my Bond, even though I left the place spotless to the photos I took before I moved in. GUV is a fraudulent organization who wants to take as much money as possible from it's tenants. There are many better places to rent in the GC area.
