Perfect hotel to stay in Geelong. Amazing location right on the waterfront, with cafés, restaurants, and bars all within easy walking distance. The room was comfortable and well appointed.nnTony, the Front Office Manager, and his team were incredibly accommodating. I was welcomed with complimentary infused drinks at check-in, and even though I arrived early at around 11:45 AM, Tony let me know my room was already ready, which was a great surprise. He also mentioned that he had chosen the best available room for me, even though it wasn’t directly facing the waterfront, I still had a fantastic view from my balcony.nnGuests are treated exceptionally well here, especially members. I’m only an ALL Silver member, yet the service felt on par with Platinum or even Diamond level. Truly impressive hospitality. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit to Geelong.
Location is fantastic. Room was very clean. Overall the hotel itself was exceptionally clean and tidy. Pool and steam room good, but during business hours quite a bit of construction noise in the pool area.nStaff very accommodating. Buffet breakfast was very good. Construction noise was annoying. Starting at 7am.
Renovations and event road closures meant we had to access hotel via staircase from the next street, ok on the way down but carrying suitcases back up when leaving was a bit ordinary . Every time we left the hotel we had to use the big staircase, uber couldn't get to front entrance to pick up due to previously mentioned event and renovations, late for dinner reservation because uber got lost. I think the hotel could have had more input with council regarding road closure and hotel access and allowed hotel guests to use front entrance.nStaff were great - front of house, very efficient, buffet staff very accommodating and great service.

We were fortunate enough to have a room with a stunning bay view, and it was a joy to look out and see the Spirit of Tasmania ship anchored in the distance—what a unique sight!n​Being right on the waterfront means instant access to the beautiful foreshore, perfect for long walks, and it’s just steps away from the best bars and restaurants Geelong has to offer.n​The hotel’s own dining experience, Tempo Kitchen & Bar, was brilliant. We enjoyed a superb dinner there, and the buffet breakfast was absolutely amazing, featuring an incredible variety of fresh and high-quality options.n​Beyond the perfect location and outstanding food, the staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring a seamless experience from check-in to check-out. If you're looking for the premier place to stay on the Geelong waterfront, look no further. Highly, highly recommended!
Highly recommended - Team members went beyond their role, to genuinely work with me to make me feel at home, away from home. They were sincere in their approach, ensuring that what I required was addressed, even when they saw me in my pyjamas late at night at reception asking questions. Congratulations to management Scott Bear for such an awesome team. I look forward to my next stay at Novotel Geelong.
