We were fortunate enough to have a room with a stunning bay view, and it was a joy to look out and see the Spirit of Tasmania ship anchored in the distance—what a unique sight!n​Being right on the waterfront means instant access to the beautiful foreshore, perfect for long walks, and it’s just steps away from the best bars and restaurants Geelong has to offer.n​The hotel’s own dining experience, Tempo Kitchen & Bar, was brilliant. We enjoyed a superb dinner there, and the buffet breakfast was absolutely amazing, featuring an incredible variety of fresh and high-quality options.n​Beyond the perfect location and outstanding food, the staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring a seamless experience from check-in to check-out. If you're looking for the premier place to stay on the Geelong waterfront, look no further. Highly, highly recommended!
Whilst the business side of the conference for my organisation was good. The initial welcome and rudeness of staff was nothing short of deplorable. The rooms even when made up were not vacuumed and the mini bar was not filled.the conference team were amazing and when there was an issue re food this was dealt with the next day. I'm glad I bought my own food! But, I should not have to!nThe pool was lovely. The steps upon entry were quite sharp but the cleanliness was excellent.
It was my first time visiting and I really felt the warm welcome! Had an early check-in because I arrived early in Geelong and my room was already ready. I also appreciated the lovely welcome treats waiting for me in the room. The location is also very serene at night so I was really relaxed during my whole stay. And the staff are all very friendly and accommodating. Definitely coming back.
We had a fantastic stay at Novotel Geelong! We booked two interconnecting rooms — the beds were super comfy, and the pillows were wonderfully fluffy. We loved the pool and the beautiful outlook. The location couldn’t be better — close to the beach, Westfield, great fish and chips, and everything else we needed. Would definitely stay here again!
I stayed at the Novotel Geelong for two nights and would happily stay there again.nnLocation - right on the waterfront with plenty of restaurants/cafes nearby. Only thing was that the signage to find the entrance to the hotel was a little hidden, even for my friend who was a local and dropping me at the hotel.nnCheck-in/Check-out - check-in was smooth and easy. Check-out was also smooth and easy and the staff member also ordered me a taxi to travel to the train station which arrived quickly for a Sunday morning.nnRoom - my room was lovely and spacious, the view I was lucky to receive was out towards the harbour and was amazing. The room was clean and well serviced during my stay.nnRestaurant - I had the buffet breakfast on my final morning and was impressed with the choices however a little disappointed that if I wanted eggs other than the scrambled that were part of the buffet I needed to try find a staff member as none approached me to see if I wanted anything different, yet I saw them approach other guests.nnOverall though I would definitely stay again as the location is perfect.
