I have stayed here for work. The rooms are clean, comfortable and have the basics such as microwave, kettle, tea, coffee, bickies and toiletries.nThe owners are lovely and accomodating. The cleaning lady does an immaculate job every day servicing the rooms.nThe location is just a short walk from the foreshore, the shopping centre and public transport hub.nA lot of really good restaurants and pubs in walking distance.nBeds are comfy, have electric blankets and comfy warm linens. The rooms have been updated recently I assume because they are all very fresh and functional.nnLook forward to coming back. Great little old school motel.nOne note- when booking if you have mobility issues ask for a ground floor unit. The stairs may be a bit much for some.
The room is better on the inside than the building portrays. Clean and well appointed.
Rooms were amazingly spacious, tidy and clean. Love the smell in the room.nnLocation is close to city centre and walking distance to Westfield.nnThe setback was the lack of sound proofing. Guests next door had their music turned up and could hear them talking at 1am in the morning.nnCheck in time was 2 pm but no one was at the reception. The owner arrived when I was ringing. Asked for my credit card for the deposit and to fill in the details to enable refund. The surface at the reception counter was uneven and I was told that my writing was illegible which can result in my refund not paid back.
Overall, a mediocre stay. For the money we paid, I believe that I could’ve gotten a hotel that would’ve satisfied my family more.nFirstly, rooms were decent enough. Modern enough to entice someone into staying… However, bed was extremely uncomfortable. There were little amenities provided such as no TOOTHBRUSH and Toothpaste. There were some dead critters lying in the bathroom which indicates the room hasn’t been properly cleaned. Service is incredibly underwhelming. All the other reviews that stated that, it is very true…nnThe only decent thing about this motel is it’s location. Other then that, you could easily find a hotel for around the same price range for a whole lot better of an experience.
Reception service would be good if they were more polite and smiled a bit. After al, we have booked a room with them. The rooms are very clean and tidy, but the spoons to make a cupa are dirty, kettle can do with a good clean as well, but it was comfortable.
