Long stretch of walkway right by the ocean — you can walk, swim, just sit and vibe.nnCafes and restaurants all along the way so you’re never far from food or a coffee.nnDo the ferris wheel. Seriously. It goes faster and longer than you’d expect and it’s genuinely a lot of fun.nnRight next to it there’s a truck doing warm donuts, ice-cream,shakes need I say more.nnWalk down to the fountain area and there’s a bar with a balcony overlooking the water.nnPerfect spot to end the day.nnThere is plenty of places where you can literally sit and work from it as well. No rush, Watch the tide and enjoy the views. when i get there there wasn’t much people but it was a nice view from there.nnOne of those places that just has everything
Such a beautiful place to bring family to have a swim, grab a drink or even take a walk with your pet. This place is just few minutes walk from the botanical gardens.nnThe weather was so beautiful with the wind which made it easier to walk along the shore. To take in the scenery I made sure to sit on a bench and admire it. I wish I could go for a swim but not regretting it too much.
The Geelong Waterfront is a terrific place to explore.nOn a sunny day, you will see many people enjoying the vast and varied spaces by the water.nWhether you want to relax with a book, encounter the famous bollards, take a ride on the ferris wheel, eat an ice cream or swim at Eastern Beach, this well-maintained foreshore has it all!nA number of hotels and cafes also make the most of being close to this much loved part of Geelong.nHere are some photos from a recent visit :-
A lively place, lots going on. Rides on ferris wheel, merry go round, ferry ride to see seals and have a drink, coffee or a light snack. All was wonderful, and I would have given it 5 stars if not for the toilets. Most digusting I have seen in my life. Avoid them if you can at all costs.
Great family beach, which has very safe waters for families to swim at a pool for little kids & lots of grass areas to put up sun shade to keep you comfortable. There is bbq facilities some seats, toilets & a cafe for drinks & food etc. Lovely relaxing atmosphere. Great day out
