Terrible service. We booked a van to pick us up from a very busy event at 1am as we knew transport would be difficult. We were called at 11pm to say they were here to pick us up and the concert still had 2 hours to go, so we reminded them we booked for 1am and they said all good. When it got to 1am we called to ask where they were and they said they already sent the vans at 11pm and there’s none available anymore. Shocking, we had to sit in the pouring rain for an hour trying to find a ride home from mount smart stadium.
Booked a Van to and from a 21st. The initial pick up was late and charged us almost twice the amount quoted. I confirmed our 23.30 pick-up 15 mins before it was due and was told the van was on its way. After waiting 20 min pasted the due time I phoned for an ETA to be told no van was going to come. Not only does that create serious issues stuck out in Dairy Flat in the middle of the night with no transport, but they didn't even have the decency to call and let us know they would have just left us waiting. 1 star rating is 1 star too much. DO NOT USE
Worst taxi company, we pre booked a van for 1am after a concert and they confirmed this with us twice and the pick up location. We head to the pick up location at 1am and there’s no vans, called the company, lady was rude, still no vans. They left us in the rain - ended up paying $250 for an Uber home after waiting 1.5 hours. 0 stars.
Never arrived. I called them for pick up, they said 10 mins wait time. I waited 35 mins and no show. Definitely only going to be ubering from now on
Didn't have taxi available in my area when I needed one which was very frustrating
Dad 85 left his wallet in a cab - rang them straight away, they refused to contact the driver and put him through to a voicemail. He rang 3 times and I rang twice. No one bothered to call back. The last time I asked for a manager, spoke to the shift supervisor and he checked with the driver, no wallet found. A couple of days later the wallet appeared in Dad's letterbox. He didn't have his address in it, it can only have been left by the cab company but no phone call or apology. It's no way to treat the elderly!
The whole process for any Taxi company, compared to Uber or Ola is just complex and more hassle. They do have a pretty smart voice recognition system to give your address and it handled a complex address pickup. If didn't tell any estimate of when someone could come, as it was I had called 2 other taxi companies mid week and they had no taxis available. The auto system said a taxi would be there "soon" it didn't arrive by 15 mins so called. The company called in another taxi company to fill the job, and that was another 10 mins away. For contrast, Uber had 7 cars in distance, visible in the app, within 4 mins away. Price for taxi was about the same as Uber/Ola. Good service, clean car. The driver was smart, cleanly dressed and great company for the drive. Modern car They do have eftpos which was why I needed them as my Credit card was being reissued. Overall, if they got an app, and if any taxi company serviced Birkenhead to the same level, then they could be as good and as convenient as Uber.
If I could give 0 stars and still post a review I would. To call this a taxi 'service' is an absolute joke!! I had made a booking for a taxi to pick up my 92 year old dad from his rest home and drive him to the restaurant where the extended family were meeting up for Fathers Day dinner. Unfortunately he cant get into my car, as it's too low. He waited 45 minutes at the entrance but no taxi came, so he ended up having Fathers Day dinner on his own at the rest home. I may never get another chance to have Fathers Day dinner with my dad again. You people are despicable. You just dont care!!!
I will never use North Shore Taxis again - their service is appalling. We had a wedding on Friday 24/03/17 at Northridge Country Lodge in Wainui Rd, Silverdale. It is in the country and because of this I organised myself to book a 9 seater van for pick up at 11pm. Got the confirmation and reference number. So when the van had not turned up at 11.10pm I rang to be told there were no 9 seater vans available: Hello, I had booked the Monday prior!! So then as there were only 4 of us by this stage I asked for a car - yes I was told - ring back if nothing has turned up in 15 minutes. 15 minutes later phoned through - lady at dispatch knew me by now and was most unhelpful - apparently because I had changed my order from a 9 seater van to a car my Reference had been cancelled - so we had to make another order!!! 11.40 a car turned up - felt sorry for the poor driver who coped our displeasure - it was not his fault. This was not the worst as other guests at the wedding from overseas had the same problem - although they had used the van to get out to the event, it did not turn up for return journey. North Shore Taxis if you cannot supply your vans PLEASE DO NOT TAKE THE ORDER. Was not impressed waiting for 40 minutes late at night. I am of the older generation and I will quickly get my adult children to sign me up for UBER
