Fantastic food, great staff, quick. We went there without booking on a Saturday evening and it was absolutely packed. However they made space for two of us by the open window and I must say, it was a great spot. The owners son was very friendly and we had a long chat with him and his mother. Apart from recommending the food, the atmosphere was great and the staff made it a great evening out.

I came here for more than ten times and tried nearly all things here, my favorite Japanese style restaurant in Auckland.

Absolutely awful. The service was terrible. We asked specifically if the spring rolls were vegetarian and were assured they were. When they arrived they were full of meat. We had to remind them three times that we had ordered drinks. Some of the meals we ordered never arrived. They gave us somebody else's account at the end of the night. What a disaster. The staff were full of apologies but the evening was ruined and we will never go back to Nippon Sake Bar.
