It’s great to have a Supermarket right in the middle of Wellington CBD, a lot of parking so there is no problem finding a park. Friendly and helpful staff working there. The prices seem a bit more expensive than other new worlds around Wellington. But this new world has a lot great better selection of beers and wine selection.
Some items were cheapest than in Asian Supermarket, and some were more expensive! Overall, good selection of food.
Always great produce and everyday products and plenty of parking. The Meat, Deli and Bakery counters always have fantastic products on offer. There is a variety of hot food items and sandwiches/rolls, salads and sushi too if you're looking for a snack or a bite to eat or meal. The friendly staff are always willing to assist you find an item or check if they have stock. Love this supermarket, definitely one of my favs.
I shop here regularly even I am not living in cbd on the way to work or back home/handy and convenient/plenty of car parks. Great ranges of food/sometimes prices are over but it is reasonable because of the location of course but could always adjust due to the demands. The place 99% I went in was clean and tidy. Thanks for all your hard work and care to look after young generation of employees.
I’m a frequent shopper at the Wakefield st New World and Ive always received amazing customer service from one of the checkout managers, I believe it’s Éabha. Shes very helpful, attentive and always able to resolve problems with a smile. Stunning service !
Always like this place. Nice clean and tidy. Great food. Can be a bit pricey. But worth it. Also sometimes hard to find a park as quite busy but that's due to location. Will be back.
Pretty spiffy supermarket, very large portions on the bakery slices, and there's even full pizzas. The variety of singular beer cans is absolutely preposterous.
Great selection of food, fresh produce was very fresh. Enjoyed a spinach and feta bread for breakfast. Very convenient opening times. Staff were very helpful.
Just a terrible supermarket. The produce is always awful, shelves are never rotated or restocked. This supermarket likes to decide what you buy and how you buy it by only putting out what they want to move. Special items are never restocked and staples like toilet paper you'll find only mega packs. The staff are especially rude and unhelpful. There is always a group of staff chain smoking spitting and vaping smoke in your face outside by the no smoking area or even in the carpark. This supermarket is disgusting avoid.
This place used to be a great smkt, this morning I drove from the Hutt to visit, and what waste of time and petrol that was. From the youth throwing presumably out-of-date veges into a trolley, to a pile of 10-15 different types of chocolates on display for Xmas presents, with not one price anywhere. The aisles at 8.45am on a Saturday were full of empty boxes from the shelf-stackers, so two of them were off-limits to trolleys. Got to the checkout and had to wait whilst a staff member ran around trying to find a price for the chocolate thingy I bought from the price-absent display because the barcode didn't register on the machine. Place is a trainwreck.
