If you want a second home to read and write you will find it at Nerang library. There’s something for everyone of any age in their book collection. what can I say about librarians Anne and Deb! They are incredibly welcoming and competent and supportive of local GC writers. Come and try this library even on Saturdays. You’ll get hooked like I did.
Such a good show, but don't take your little ones during school holidays! No one controls the older ones free daycare for their parents, apparently? I had to hold my son on my lap for his safety... otherwise, he would've been trampled on by 8yr olds jumping on the chair he was holding himself up on as well as other chairs. Listed as 0-5... not true! The little ones were so well-behaved and awesome so were their parents, when considering my 7 month son... maybe take your big kids somewhere else, or do your job and reel them in, please?! Especially when they weren't meant to be there. Otherwise, I'd highly recommend the Tui show in itself. Despite my rant, I've only added good photos/videos for an adequate representation of the show... love the pasifika vibe/cultural immersion!
This is a shout out to the wonderful staff at Nerang Library, Deb, Anne, Simone and Shannon. Your enthusiasm and support for Writing Saturdays at Nerang has been truly invaluable. I cannot thank you enough.
Lovely branch library of the Gold Coast City. This is usually a quiet place. There is undercover parking. If spaces are full you can park on the street which has ample spaces. Staff are very friendly and helpful. You can self check out your books, but when you return just need to keep the books in the designated area. They will quickly update.
