Myer is generally a solid department store with a wide range of high-quality products, and I’ve had good experiences there in the past. However, my recent visit to the Doncaster store was quite frustrating. I was looking to purchase a pair of sneakers and couldn’t find a single staff member in the shoe section—or in any of the nearby areas. Several other customers were waiting around too, and it ended up taking roughly 15 minutes before anyone was available to serve us.nnGood store overall, but the lack of staffing during this visit really let it down.
My first time going to Doncaster Myers. Wanted to buy my friend’s birthday present at Dior but found out Myers in Doncaster doesn’t have Dior. Was walking past YSL and decided to buy the present there. It was in the morning so it was not busy at all. I bought one lipgloss and one lipstick and asked for gift wrapping. everything felt very rushed. LEFT WITH TOTAL DISAPPOINTMENT.nFirst. The staff scanned the product incorrectly. One is supposed to be $72 and the other $75. But she scanned the same product $75 twice. I trusted they will scan it properly but found out after I left the shopping centre of the error but I could not be bothered to go back as it was on sale anyways. But still, Myer should train their staff better.nSecond. The gift wrapping was atrocious.nYSL is luxury brand so I expected better but the gift wrapping I received left me speechless. Do you guys not train your staff? It was not properly sealed and there were so many unnecessary tape put on. I had to go home and gift wrap it myself again! Also they didn’t even give me a bag or ask me if I needed one to put the product in.nI expected better service.nI just really hope this doesn’t happen to other customers.
Yesterday, I visited Myer and found a great offer on a product I was looking to buy. The cashier was incredibly helpful—he took the time to check both the store and the warehouse to find the item for me. The staff is friendly, honest, and never pushy. They genuinely focus on helping you find the right product rather than trying to make a sale. I also appreciate that they offer fair prices and are willing to match other prices. Overall, a great shopping experience with excellent customer service.
I purchased two expensive Samsonite suitcases in 2018. Unfortunately, shortly after my purchase, Covid struck, and we did not resume traveling until 2022. After using the suitcases only four times, I discovered that the zippers and the surrounding rubber lining were already damaged.nnTherefore, I brought the suitcases to the Myer Doncaster store last week, requesting repair or replacement, as Samsonite promises a 10-year warranty. However, when I went to collect them today, not only had the issues not been repaired, but the surface of the suitcases had also been badly scratched. I am extremely upset about this and very dissatisfied with Myer’s service.nnWhat I would like to ask clearly is this: since I purchased these suitcases from your store and they come with a 10-year warranty, why has no proper solution been provided for such obvious quality problems?
Generally decent, helpful staff, large location, was looking for some suitcases and did find a decent selection and was pleasantly surprised to find they were doing an incredible sale of 40-60% off almost everything.
