I used Murray Coaches service during my trip between Canberra and Sydney airport for the first time. Overall it's a positive experience.nnThe only thing that bothered me a bit was that I forgot to bring my luggage onto the bus when I boarded the bus. The main reason that happened is because I couldn't sleep or eat well during the long flight. So after more than twenty hours on the journey, my brain went half blank.nnAnyway, I have successfully got my luggage back from the lost and found by paying a courier service, thank God!nnIt would be nice for the service to remind the passengers whether they have got all their luggage when they board the bus. If this is too big ask, I am also fine.
Absolutely p poor service and because they are basically the only bus service in Canberra they do as they please. I tried to get a 6am bus to Sydney for a 11:15am flight. The driver didn’t stop loading the bus until 6:30 and then said the bus was over capacity and needed to take out luggage to put it in the next bus. I had a carry on and suitcase , he takes my suitcase out even tho I was one of the first on the bus and my stuff was piled in the back. I told him I would miss my flight so just take my other bag out and I’ll find another way but he told me he wasn’t taking anymore bags out but dug out my first bag. He also got into a verbal altercation with multiple other customers that didn’t end until 7am. I ended up having to drive all the way to Sydney myself. Paid $80 in petrol, $230 to park for a week and a lifetime of stress and anxiety rushing to get to the airport instead of just letting me get my bags or putting my first bag on the bus I was seconds from missing my flight. Distasteful company and workers that don’t know what they are doing. Pay a friend or take a cab if you need to go somewhere. 0-10 would recommend Murray’s
Located beside and behind Novatel in the Canberra CBD, Murray's Coaches is an efficient and well operated bus service. The Dash Coffee shop has excellent service and a good range of food and drink for waiting passengers. When you enter the bus they read your QR code given to you at the time of your purchase. They also show you a photograph of where you'll be seated. I travelled to Sydney and the seats were comfortable and the drive much better than if I had to drive myself. All in all a great experience.
I have been taking Murrays buses for maybe twenty years. I travelnAll over the world and I love this company. Very comfortable efficient elated and friendly. Would choose this option for short distances over flying any day
Clean and comfortable coaches to Sydney running multiple times a day. The waiting area is standard, quite large with multiple seatings. Unfortunately the biggest issue is that there is no dedicated parking space near the premises. Quite difficult to drop off and pick up. Also, the bathroom is concerning.
