In response to a really good set of Facebook event notices, a group of five of us decided to try out the Sunday late afternoon special, of a $5 cocktail (choice of 4) and $1 plate of dumplings. So I had a quite decent lychee martini, and a whole plate of prawn flavoured gyoza to myself. As did each of my friends. We were a little surprised at the venue since it turned out to be a local Elwood shopping centre Japanese restaurent. I think we had expected something a little more bar like. But still good. We stayed for about an hour, and it was a pleasant, satisfying if noisy time. The happy hour ran from 5pm - 6.30 and was obviously very successful. The place was crowded and the noise was a happy chattering noise. Not sure that I would go back there as it was obviously meant to attract a younger crowd, but it was a nice thing to do on a cold Sunday evening. Keep an eye out for those facebook events as they offer very good specials. The next promotional event throughout June is for all you can drink cocktails for $25.

Monday specials are amazing value and the staff were super friendly. We had the dumplings for one dollar a plate. The chicken were amazing and the beer discounts are worth the effort on their own. Delicious...

Amazing cocktails! Food is great and reasonably priced with loads of options. Super friend staff. Great atmosphere. In a great area too. Loads of specials during the week like $1 dumplings! How can you go wrong!

Awesome japanese restaurant with friendly staff and a funky vibe. Would recommend the following dishes; Karaage, Miso Roasted Cauliflower, Calamari. Be sure to checkout their specials as they do meal deals on certain nights. Will be back for more!
