I can't comment on the food - I didn't get that far. What spoilt the entire experience was the sudden appearance of an unadvertised card surcharge on the card machine just as I was about to pay. It wasn't a huge amount, but slapping an extra charge on at the last moment and without warning is, in my view, just dishonest. I cancelled my order and went elsewhere.

Ordered two pieces of snapper and 4 fried eggs . The fillets were huge, ended up only eating the one piece and saved the rest for tomorrow . I found the batter nice and a little crunchy on the outside .Food: 5/5

Thought would try one more time. Worst than the first. Lost our ticket, no one looked up to see if we were waiting for anything. 30 minutes to be told ticket is lost. No sense of organisation.Food: 1/5

First time there, just passed through after a nice day out and honestly was surprised how good it was. I'm not big on fish and chips but definitely enjoyed the ones there. Also, couldn't remember the last time I seen a fish and chip shop that you can actually dine in, beats eating in our car

It was first time and last time for us spent over $40 dollars. Disgusting food it was cold and the fat was old and the veggies were not fresh I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Chop Suey was inedible. Red cabbage was huge hunks and tough. Vegies werent blanched and raw. Slapped together without any care

Rang order at 7.40 said 10 to 15 minutes, 8.20 still no order When I asked they said it was coming now. Sadly after all the wait the food was cold and not freshFood: 3/5

The food is always fresh as and yum. Freshly made smorgasbord after 5pm. Great variety to choose from. Prices reasonable. Place kept clean. Service good. Pleasant banter between staff/family gives the place a pleasant atmosphere. Prices reasonable! Definitely a regular spot for take-out dinner.

Paid for tarakihi fillets, the fish most definitely was not tarakihi, more like shark. Disappointing.

We are all supposed to be wearing masks over your nose and mouth not under chin by 3 staff members 1 being the owner. I work in hospitality and I have to  wear one 6+hours a day so I think they can. But nice fish and chips.
