As this is my local, I really wanted it to be great pizza. I've tried it three times all different styles and I have been pretty underwhelmed. Dough doesn't have a 'flavor'; Toppings don't really pair well, or are just not sized correctly - Would love for it to be better.
Would recommend, particularly for families with kids. Went to Motorina with my family who has 4 kids. We had a few pizzas and the roast mushroom special. The pizza base was good, pretty thin and crisp. Toppings could have been more cooked on some of the pizzas pumpkin and ham but overall a 4 for the food experience. What made this a 5 star review was the restaurant experience itself. The owner I think was amazing and accommodating. The kids all get their own pizza dough upon arrival to make their own small pizzas which later become their dessert pizzas. The kids loved this and it enhanced the entire experience for everyone. The food came out in a good amount of time and the price for the group was very reasonable. So, experience overall a 6 out of 5 which is why Morotina earned a 5 star review. Thanks for a great meal and night with our family.

Honestly the best pizza I've ever had! The fungi especially is my favourite. The base is thin and crispy, and the toppings are juicy and delicious. The pasta is amazing as well, particularly the Genovese. Owners are great and are happy to modify any dishes or even make one up that suits you!
Very average, there are better pizza places in the area with better flavour and better prices. We had the pepperoni & margarita and both came on very bland and dry crust. Sauce & cheese had minimal flavour. It was not to our personal taste.
Fantastic pizzas, delicious and creative. Atmosphere is perfect, it's trendy, welcoming and stylish. Only problem is that as a small restaurant which I think is part of the charm, it can get pretty crowded, particularly on weekends, so ordering delivered or take-away is a better option if time is a pressing concern. As a longtime fan of crust pizzas, I've been converted to Motorino, they are smaller but fresher tasting, have better bases, it does help that it's much closer to my home than crust too. Highly recommended, the Italian restaurant over the street on Glenhuntley Road is also really good if there's not room in Motorino. Enjoy :
Ordered after reading positive reviews. Clearly everyone has different food expectations, my pizza was a flat base like cardboard that was tasteless, I ordered the potato and syracuse. In a competitive category this doesn’t hit the mark.
Good food & wine, reasonably priced. Love that they give kids dough to make their own pizza! Great local family place.
I had high expectations after reading all the positive reviews but I found the food very bland. Everything was fresh and well presented, it just lacked flavour. We tried pizza, pasta, salads and desserts. The stools were very uncomfortable too. I wouldn't go back again.
I almost didn’t bother writing this review but had to do it. I know some people like pizza well cooked and some not, but when you advertise a Margherita pizza that looks like it does in the Motorina menu, nice big blobs of creamy mozzarella and a moist tomato Sugo, then receive a way over cooked cheese pizza with the remnants of dried and burnt tomato, you have to wonder how they let it out of the kitchen at all. If only I could post pics in this review. This was our first experience ordering from Motorina and will be our last. Come on guys, you just can’t send out pizza like this in Melbourne. Big bummer!
