We stayed here for one night on our journey from Melbourne to Cairns. I chose this motel due to the fact that it was “pet friendly” and the pricing seemed reasonable. On arrival the lady at reception come across quite rude, then mentions to us that pets are not allowed on the bed. We have stayed in pet friendly hotels the whole drive up here and all pet friendly hotels have allowed our puppy on the bed so I wouldn’t classify Motel Lodge as pet friendly. To make matters worse, once in the room I found what looked like mouse poo in the bathroom, the bed was uncomfortable, the carpet had stains everywhere and it was extremely noisy. And in the morning when I got up to have a shower, towel ready to go, I turn on the hot tap, then go to turn on the cold tap to see a lovely pubic hair on the tap. Needless to say, I didn’t shower that morning. We felt so uncomfortable in this room that we got up and left well before checkout time. $85 doesn’t seem like much, but overall I was disappointed with the not so pet friendly room and the cleanliness. I definitely wouldn’t stay here again and anyone with pets, I 100% wouldn’t recommend this motel.

Clean & neat room... very noisy as they did not advise of renovation going on next door. Friendly staff. Great location. Internet is not sufficient for working on smart apps.

Friendly staff, lovely clean room, is pet friendly so we had a room where we were allowed our dog in the room. Didn't hear any road noise. Would definitely stay again. Thank you.

Beautiful experience - great staff and clean rooms. The perfect experience for those needing a bed to sleep in at short notice overnight.

Rooms were not as advertised. Inadequate air-conditioning for the room. Poor layout of power points.
