The council's web portal is flawed so each year after struggling to pay dog registrations via it I more often head into a service centre instead. In my experience the staff are great and are happy to fix the errors on both dog registrations and take my money. Each following year when the new, more expensive registration renewals arrive, they again contain the errors. This year's has three errors down from the four from last year. At this rate all errors may be corrected by the time our two dogs die of old age, although at 12 years old I'm not confident.
Never respond to enquiries or complaints. Are unwilling to hold their staff responsible and clearly side with certain parties based on who they know. I would be interested to see what a comprehensive audit would uncover about this council.
The city of morten bay is terrible place they over price everything, they make it extremely hard to get housing but also make it illegal to be homeless....
Pettiest council I've ever come across. Received an email about bins being put out too early with threats of a fine. This happened once while our daughter was in hospital and we didn't want to miss it. Maybe spend your time on real community issues.. I almost thought it was a joke but the person put their name to it so must think this is important community work.. that's awkward
Awful council! They simply do not demonstrate any care for the folk living in the city - it seems the council is only concerned about money. They will happily allow industrial sheds to be built in suburbia, provided ‘relaxation of building codes’ are paid for, without any consultation with neighbours. I recommend buying your home on the Sunny Coast!
