Dropped in for some fresh prawns and selected the cheapest they had at $20 kg. While not the biggest prawn, they were sweet and delicious. My brother brought some as well and they became the topic of some happy texts between us. Best we have recently had. nThe market had the beautiful aroma of the sea, clean and fresh.
If I could give it zero I would. We have eaten here for years and has always been amazing but I am sad to say this time the hot food this time was beyond disappointing. Scallops were overcooked and the fish was bland and watery as if it had been frozen. It was definitely not worth the price paid $40 for a fisherman basket for two not worth the 40 minute wait for the food. We will not be going back.
Directly from the sea to my plate! One of the best tunas I ever had! Take away and go upstairs and enjoy with a beer!
Kindly asked for a fish burger with coleslaw, question ignored/ not acknowledged. Received std burger, no coleslaw, such a simple question, I was the only one in line? Curt dealings and not an iota of warmth.. Chips were awesome, my fish was somewhat raw in the middle despite being beautifully battered on the outside, still enjoyed it. Not sure what is going on here but staff seem to be complacent about courtesy and food quality assurance.
How can you not give 5/5 for the MFM? It is the best place I know on the Sunny Coast, and perhaps even further afield, for an excellent variety of very fresh seafood. Oysters, prawns, bugs, lobster, tuna, salmon....you name it, and it is all laid out tantalisingly in front of you and served quickly by a friendly group of fishmongers. Prices are high, but good seafood costs money considering the work it takes to catch it! and I am very thankful that I can still afford some of it! This is the place for your seafood craving to be satisfied.
