Cake was OK-good. Service rather less OK. Pretty plain service and no prices displayed which seems to be a sales catch. When ordering and then getting asked to pay 20$ for two small cakes and a small coffee seems to be overpriced but they are already on the plates so you do not ask questions.
This is an ‘old skool’ cake and walking in is like stepping back in time. There’s a great selection of cakes and coffees to choose from and cakes are served on vintage plates. It’s located on the famous strip of Acland St in St Kilda so near the shops and beach.
Delicious Cakes on offer, tried Hazelnut and white chocolate cake with some almond Swirls, both were gluten free and rich in flavors. Friendly staff and quick customer service.
The baby kugel and hazelnut white chocolate and orange cake were pretty good but a little too sweet in my opinion and that's coming from someone with a sweet tooth, so it might be best to split between people even if the slices aren't that big
This might not be the fanciest looking cake shop, but everything we tried was fantastic. I’m still thinking about that French vanilla cream slice. So good.
Absolute friendly service, solid coffee and a lovely cheese cake! Recommended
A nice place with a cool design. The cakes were really good, and the service very pleasant.
One of the first dessert shops on Acland Street and still one of the best. Great old time feel with family made cakes. You will love the experience.
