We had Metroglass double glazing fitted by Retrofit some years ago. Quality was average and a window has now cracked, despite numerous emails nothing has happened. Never again..
You would think a company with a big premises in a growing industry will look after all their clients in this current building boom in NZ. You would be wrong! Trying to get hold of them over the phone is like trying to find Nemo... near impossible. If you can afford to stay on their credit account holder list which is not feasible. Then you would enjoy a 170% better price than if you try and do a cash sale with these jokers. Our cash price for 20 handrail brackets was $165 excl GST per bracket and the account holder price was $61 excl GST per bracket- I'm sure that is price gouging... The worse thing about their practice is the agreement with certain architects to specify strictly using their products- which means you have no other option but to be ripped off. Get ready to be disappointed...
Really disappointed with the customer service. They don't stand behind their product unless you expect a glass door to explode within 6 months of installation. Since heard other people who have had similar experiences.
Shockingly bad customer service and they do not back up their products. I would avoid dealing with them. We've since heard similar stories from other customers. Our glass door shattered after a few months use causing a big mess, it was fortunate that no one was injured went it exploded as glass flew everywhere. Metro Glass declined to honour warranty or accept any fault, trying multiple excuses and ultimately trying to blame us without even properly investigating. Even the installer agreed it was a fault in the glass. If we had the time we would take it to fairgo or consumer affairs as its really unacceptable, not to mention dangerous. We will never deal with them again.
cant blame the company blame driver crashes happen all the time tragic not doubting that as drivers in nz we are shockers we could all learn more road manners etc.
