I just stopped for lunch today as I did love this place however, I was disgusted to find that the waiter brought me out a filthy glass filled with ice and the dried up remnants of someone elses milkshake on the inside of the glass. I ordered pancakes with bacon, banana & syrup I then noticed that my bacon was silvery coloured and it put me right off touching anything else. When I went to pay for my meal the waiter asked how was my meal. I then told him about the glass discreetly as there were other people around. He just smiled and giggled with no apology whatsoever. I definitely will not go here again and I will let my friends and family know about this too. Absolutely appalling customer service with off food.

The male staff member who served us was initially reasonably pleasant although not overly welcoming. We have used this local cafe a few times recently for business meetings and all was mediocre..... good enough to come back to and the position near the bay is nice. Today my experience was not a pleasant one. The male staff member treated me quite badly when I felt I needed to send my meal back because one of the ingredients tasted as if it was off. I was not offered an alternative to my meal. It was taken away with a brush off attitude and when he returned he basically argued with me that there was nothing wrong with the meal they've been serving it to other people all morning ( oops I hope they don't get food poisoning) and if I wished to have a replacement I would need to pay for 2 meals. I didn't agree with what he was offering because I felt that was unfair so I asked if he could arrange for another meal the same to be made but omit the ingredient which I felt was off..... he said he would but I would need to pay for 2.... !!!! Anyway with some words back and forth and an agreement to make me a half serve the other meal came to the table along with his huffy attitude. Would you believe that when I went to pay my bill he tried to charge me for the 2 meals. When I said I wasn't happy to do that he said that " doing this to a small business was not on and people do this all of the time " .... like I had done it on purpose to get a free meal!!!..... I offered to pay the whole time mind you. I politely let him know that I would never make a habit of making a fuss over a meal I'd ordered out unless I felt I was genuinely concerned about eating it. He huffed and carried on and said " fine then I'll just take the money for 1" 
I haven't been treated like that anywhere I've ordered food in a very long time..... I am on the rd with business all week and order food all over Brisbane. I will not be returning to this small business in future and don't recommend that anyone else bothers whilst they have this snooty staff member as part of their business. He is obviously terrible at handling the public if things may go wrong at the cafe. Learn to manage customers with some respect and understanding. I did notice however that there is another cafe a few doors down..... I'll choose to take my business to that one next time.
