Dr. Shekib Shahbaz displayed great professionalism, skill and care. I feel lucky to have had him assigned as my surgeon. He was able to save my kidney and for that I am incredibly grateful. From the first phone call all the way to the post operative care, he made sure that I was in good hands and comfortable. I would like to sincerely thank him for going above and beyond, doing the best of his ability to ensure I do not end up on dialysis. Thank you x1000!!
I can’t speak highly enough about Mr. T De Sousa and his admin staff. From the first visit till operation day and post operation has been nothing but pleasant- through my experience with other specialists I can say in confidence Tony is one of the kind, caring , professional and easy to talk - he is not churn and burn style… Post my operation Tony personally called my wife to give her an update as to how things went and that is first for us to see a specialist to take the time to make this call. Post my operation Tony was visiting me daily at the hospital to ensure everything is on track for recovery, including weekends I might add. The whole experience was beyond amazing and every step of the way was organised through info packs, emails etc. it is also worth mentioning the night before the operation Tony himself called me personally to have a chat and ensure my mental status is at ease. I am grateful for an amazing experience and I consider myself lucky to be in hands of Dr De Sousa! I wish any reader full health but if you have to resort to urologist then Tony is the man to see everyday of week and twice on the weekend. Thank you Tony and Team for an amazing experience. Dr. Shabaz removed my prostate due to be diagnosed with a high risk cancer that was covering about half of the prostate. despite having to cut so much closer to the margins to ensure he got it all out the results showed all the cancer was removed. the care, concern and personal service that I have experienced from Shekib and the staff at Melbourne Urology has been fantastic. I'd highly recommend them. They were fantastic during a time of high stress and uncertainty.
Although initially apprehensive about the TURP procedure, Dr. Shahbaz gave me confidence and reassurance that this was the most appropriate course of action for my condition. He carefully explained the procedure and demonstrated his great level of proven experience. In addition, I referenced their informative website and locked in a date for the procedure. I have recently had the operation and am very pleased with the outcome. My flow has dramatically improved and I am able to enjoy a good nights sleep without regular interruptions. Thank you Dr Shahbaz.
I recently had a procedure performed by Dr Shahbaz. I was impressed with him from the first moment I walked into his office. Mr de Sousa and all his staff were extremely professional and friendly at a time when things were far from easy Covid protocols. I had a fairly new procedure called Rezum and the results have been fantastic. I would highly recommend Melbourne Urology and all the staff to anyone who is experiencing problems with their plumbing.
I had the Rezum treatment with Tony de Sousa 2 months ago and am delighted both with the results and with the professionalism and efficiency of their practice. I am writing this review on behalf of my father who is 87years old and has undergone two operations with Mr Shekib Shahbaz. Mr Shahbaz is a truly dedicated urology specialist, showing compassion and kindness to my father, ensuring each step of the surgery process was explained carefully. One never felt rushed during our consultation. I would ask that if you ever need a urologist ask your GP to refer you to Mr Shahbaz - you will not be disappointed he is an excellent surgeon. Dr. Shekib Shahbaz came highly recommended by my GP, and I haven't been disappointed. I have been under Dr Shahbaz' care for the last 2 years and have had 2 procedures in hospital in this time. I'm pleased to say the procedures have been of great benefit and I'm extremely happy with Dr Shahbaz' recommendations. All of the staff are very helpful, friendly and competent.
I went to see Dr Shahbaz to ask about a vasectomy procedure. He and his practice team were very professional and courteous. Dr Shahbaz gave me an extensive explanation of my options and alternatives. Despite a busy waiting room during my consultation I did not feel rushed. As I understood later this is one of the least complex procedures he does but he nevertheless acknowledged and answered all our concerns. He had a more balanced and friendly approach compared to a few other doctor experiences I have had where they either rush you for a procedure or out of the door. My wife and I feel more confident to make the best decision about my operation.
